What is Canine Parvovirus?

This is a highly contagious virus predominantly transmitted between dogs. The virus is spread through faeces either directly or indirectly. If not treated, this infection has a high mortality rate of 91% and treatment often involves hospitalisation. This month we bid a very sad farewell to one of our nurses, Karlie, as she goes onto the next adventure in Mandurah.

Karlie has been with the team since early 2020, where she has completed her certificate II in Animal Studies and her certificate IV in veterinary nursing. Karlie has been a great asset to the team, a fabulous staff member and wonderful friend.
She has become an amazing veterinary nurse and loved every patient that has come through our doors.

Farewell Karlie and best wishes for success in your new job. You will be missed around here. From the Team at Lockyer Ave Vets!
