💛 A heartfelt thank you 💛

After lots of thought, I’ve decided to step back from dog walking and pet care from the end of October. This has been such a hard decision — I’ve absolutely loved every walk, cuddle, and tail wag over the years.

I’m so grateful for all the amazing pets (and people!) I’ve met along the way. Thank you for trusting me with your furry family members — it truly means the world.

This isn’t goodbye forever, just time for a new chapter 🐾✨

Foster Homes Found: Two Senior Greyhounds Flying to Perth, on WEDNESDAY ✈

Macca (6) and Victor (7) are two beautiful senior greyhounds in Queensland who have been through so much. After losing their trainer a few years ago, they spent a long time in kennels. A few months ago, their future looked very uncertain when they were at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, thanks to one of our incredible volunteers and a local shelter, they were given a second chance and have been safe and cared for ever since.

Sadly, their chances of adoption in Queensland are slim - not because of anything they’ve done, but simply because they are black, male, and senior greyhounds. That’s why GAWA is flying them all the way to Perth, giving them a real shot at the loving homes they deserve. Their journey will involve two flights - first from Rockhampton to Brisbane, then Brisbane to Perth.

🆘️ Now, we need your help! We are urgently seeking foster homes for Macca and Victor. They are not bonded and can be fostered separately. By opening your home, you’ll be giving them the best possible start to their new life.

If your beloved doggo feels the cold, I highly recommend getting a custom coat made by Bonnie! All coats are made to measure so they fit perfectly!

Be very careful when out and about with your doggo. Luckily I saw this just as Georgie was about to pick it up.. Could have been a very nasty vet trip! Always pay attention to what your dog is sniffing or trying to pick up.

We are desperately seeking foster help for our hounds! Our wonderful foster community is almost at capacity, and with more dogs looking for foster homes each week, we are struggling to find places for them whilst they await furever homes 🩷
