Vale Kerulen Migali. So sorry to hear that the fabulous "Cookie Boy " passed away yesterday. A partbred Welsh gelding by Owendale Michael he was an extremely successful competitor with his partner Janine Kranz. His many successes included Adelaide Royal, SA All Welsh & Horse of the year shows with multiple Show Hunter championships. He also dabbled with novelties & jumping but most memorably his love of dressing up. He will be greatly missed

The weekend that was the SABA Championship Show at Mt Pleasant. Lovely weather & superbly run by a very hardworking committee. " They may be small but they are Mighty ! " 3 Kerulen ponies attended all by the fabulous Crestwood I Spy. Tivoli got flowers, 1/2 sister Spydaweb at her 1st show got a reserve champion & 1/2 brother Spycraft debuted in harness & was rewarded with a garland as well. Thank you to my handlers & a special thank you to all the fabulous sponsors including Horseland, Equine & Feed

Kerulen Wynetta is looking for her next home because her young rider has sadly grown too tall to ride her. Affectionately known as (Fatti ) Patti she is a 13.1hh Welsh pony of Cob Type ( Sec C ) DOB 2009 & was shown extensively as a youngster with some of her achievements being Supreme Foal Exhibit Welsh Foal Show, Supreme Exhibit Welsh Youngstock Show & Champion at Adelaide Royal. Since then she has been a fantastic Pony Club mount with a bit of eventing ( LOVES water ! ) show jumping & dressage thrown in. She is brilliant at the beach & forest & absolutely loves to jump. She would be fantastic for a keen little rider looking for a pony to take them to the next level of their riding career. Flynn & Janet had a very successful weekend at the Masters Games recently. Pushed themselves by attempting a higher level in the dressage & jumping with great results. Play day at Antola Lodge. Huge fun with the 2 youngsters trying the obstacles under saddle for the first time. Even the wobbly ones did not faze them. So proud of their efforts. Huge thanks to Rachel for riding Manny & Michelle for the great photos & videos & Antola for the access. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a bit of fun & a try at different activities

Easter play. Had fun with the 2 youngsters over the weekend playing with "spooky stuff " but neither battered an eyelid. The last of my cobs Manny ( Kerulen Wembley ) having his 2nd ride after a 2yrs break. We then followed up with a forest ride today. Thanks Rachel for being my 2nd jockey so they could go out together

Registered with the Sth Aust Buckskin Ass & Welsh Pony & Cob Soc. Biscuit was started under saddle 2 yrs ago then turned out to grow up. Now has just been started again & going nicely. Very calm & sensible but forward going. Is easy to handle & absolutely loves people & attention. Looking for an understanding person. Not for a beginner but would suit capable & experienced child rider or small adult. PM for more details

Another show season finished for a while. Kerulen Spycraft finished well last weekend at the last show winning Champion Ridden again but this time with a new jockey. Watch out Janet you may not get him back !
Kerulen Tivoli did not attend the last couple of shows but finished her season on a high winning Overall Supreme Exhibit. Now for some other activities namely dressage & eventing - for Flynn at least

Tivvy gets flowers ! SABA champ show today - drizzly rain & cold but I would rather that than 40 degrees! Kerulen Tivoli won her first garland - Kerulen Spycraft got so many wins that I lost count but the best of the day was watching the next generation of riders getting started. A HUGE thank you to the hard working committee and helpers - they may be small but they are determined to make these shows as good as they possibly can for the competitors. And yes that is Flynn under the sheet - as Olaf from Frozen

SABA Hi Point awards were given out yesterday & once again Kerulen Spycraft did exceptionally well. Was thrilled with the achievement of his 1/2 sister Kerulen Tivoli in her 1st season of showing as well. A HUGE thank you to Janet Davie who kindly showed her for me & for all her hard work that has made Spycraft the pony he is today. Thank you also the the hard working SABA committee& the sponsors of the fabulous rosettes & trophies

POSTCARD FROM WA.
I love it when owners of ponies I have bred contact me with updates especially those ponies I have lost track of. Welsh Sec A mare Kerulen Sequana ( Loch Sloy Monarch x Hazelmere Shanika ) was sold to WA as a 2 1/2 yr old. Initially her owner kept in contact but I had not heard anything for over 12 yrs. Now at the age of 22 she resides with Kelly of Carrracane Lodge Pony Stud & is still competing in leading rein classes. Thank you Jon for contacting me. It is very much appreciated

How good is this ! 7yr old Claire Fuhrmann & Kerulen Tansy competing at the Qld PC State Dressage Champs. The youngest rider competed in the u.11's & had to cope with horrendous weather as well. What a fantastic experience. photo credit Shotz
