Anne Rodgers understands the pressures of corporate life. An experienced business leader, Anne turned to yoga and mindfulness to cope with the rigors of business and to support her own mental health. Anne was so taken with the benefits of mindfulness, as well as the improvements to her own wellbeing, that she took a leap of faith and changed her life’s direction. Anne now supports people in dealing with the pressures of daily life through mindfulness based practices, guiding her clients to replenish and regenerate the mind-body-emotion connection with an emphasis on breath awareness and balancing the nervous system. In founding Oasis Mindfulness, Anne combines 30 years of business wisdom with the latest approaches to mindfulness, helping her clients to find happiness and enjoy life, even in the most challenging professional and personal circumstances. Anne holds a Diploma of Management, a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, and is a registered Hatha Yoga Instructor. She is a Level 1 Mindfulness Teacher trained by Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia. Anne is also a facilitator with Mindfulness Works Australia. Anne’s own happiness is supported by her personal yoga practice, daily mindfulness practice, Argentine tango and rock ‘n roll dance – as well as snuggling her Russian blue cat Archie.

A twist of fate unfolded over a casual dinner with my Mum (roast pork with all of Nana’s vegetables). She suggested I reach out to her friend’s daughter, Debbra Schrembri. I almost dismissed it, as I tend to do with my mum's poking, but something told me to make the call. That call changed everything.

Slowly, I began to understand the depth of Debbra’s gifts, and my excitement grew. She introduced me to a completely different way to experience Bali — one that goes beyond the surface and connects you to the soul of the island. My curiosity was ignited, and I knew this was the next step on my path.

Today marks a journey into a new adventure that fills my heart with excitement.

Two unlikely people, an ex NASA engineer and an advertising executive, drawn together from across the globe. Both with the same vision and passion for deepening human connection by combining tango with mindfulness.

In one week, I will be joining Chan Park to assist in facilitating Tango Zen workshops to seasoned and beginner tango dancers in Buenos Aires.

I can’t wait to experience Chan’s interactive and experiential weekend workshops as I immerse myself in the culture of all things tango.

The tango gods are surely smiling upon me. If I pass my apprenticeship in Buenos Aires, I will be Chan’s teacher assistant at his workshops in Australia and more excitingly, at the Omega Institute, New York state.

How did this miraculous opportunity happen?

I followed my bliss and listened to Joseph Campbell.

“If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one that you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”
