A couple of notices for your attention:

1 If you have joined as a couple, please make sure that when you personally are training your dog, you wear your correct name tag, not your partners. Each tag has its own number.

2 We are accepting renewal of memberships now that the huge intake of pups & beginner dogs has eased. So if you joined last year and have a green tag, please come to the admin desks and renew for this year. This will ensure you are financial and still covered by our insurance.
Thank you all. See you on Sunday, remember to put your clocks back tonight.

To all members of our great club:

I would like to let you all know that we are starting a class for young children to attend with an adult on the first Sunday of each month at 10am.
This class will be available to enable us to educate the children, big or small, regarding how to behave with their dogs or any dogs within their family and beyond. How to approach or when not to approach. What not to do and what can be done in the proper manner.
Serena, one of our experienced Instructors, will be taking this class in our log cabin and she will be helped by Eden, who is another very experienced Instructor. The class will take approximately half an hour and the first class will be on Sunday 6th April.
So please ask your family if they would like to attend and check with anyone in your class to check if they have seen this message.
I look forward to seeing you and your children on Sunday 6th April.
Val - Head Instructor

Please also remember that we are not training any classes on this coming Sunday 30th March as we have an Agility trial on the Saturday evening from 6pm. You are always welcome to come along and see what these energetic and clever dogs can do. Maybe one day you and your dog will be doing the same!
See you there.

Some notices regarding tomorrows training (16/3/25).
Temperature appears to be fine, forecast is showers but we will be opening for training and see how it goes. If it pours and pours or stormy weather we may have to stop. As i have said before, if it's pouring where you live, my advice is stay at home.
We will be there at the club just in case and also to take your membership renewals for this year. Please bring your dogs up to date vaccination certificates when you renew. There will be a table just outside the office windows with 2 staff members waiting to help you.
Also at 10am we have a childrens' class in the log cabin to teach them how to approach dogs, what not to do etc. After this particular class, this class will be held once a month at 10am on the first Sunday of each month.
Graduation for all grades will be on Sunday 23rd March and Wednesday 26th March.
We have an Agility trial on Saturday evening 29th March, so there will be no training on Sunday 30th March. You are more than welcome to come along on Saturday 29th to see the Agility trial in action from 6pm onwards.
Fingers crossed weather is kind to us tomorrow morning.
See you there. Val - Head Instructor

Hi all members,
I have been informed that Kennel Cough is in our Noarlunga area. So to be safe, there will be no water buckets put out at training for a few weeks just as a precaution. Bring your own water container with you though, as we have fresh water on tap and your dogs will be thirsty in this weather. Monitor your dogs at home and if unwell or coughing, please do not attend training. Thank you.

No Training this coming Sunday 9/3/25.
I guess you all would have guessed but due to BOM forecast of 35 degrees this weekend, it will be too hot for training. This also includes the special class for young children that was booked at 10am. I am hoping we can change that to the following Sunday and will confirm at a later date. Please stay safe in the cool with your dogs and practise what we have already taught you. Hopefully next week will be cooler. Apologies Val - Head Instructor

Rings start back on this coming Sunday 2/3/25.
Tricks will be taken by Anne Greenwood as Carly is unfortunately unable to instruct due to health issues at present. We wish her a speedy recovery. Val - Head - Instructor

TRIALLING HANDLERS:
Just a reminder, if you are training in obedience/Rally rings each dog costs $2. However, if you want to also go and train in another discipline we offer ie Agility or Tricks, you will have to pay a further $2 per lesson. Enjoy your trialling training. Val - Head Instructor

NO TRAINING TOMORROW - 12/2/25
I guessed you all would already know that temperatures 32 degrees or over, means we do not train. 40 degrees is forecast, so stay home and keep your pets in the cool and off of hot concrete roads and pavements. Hopefully Sunday will be OK, but watch this space just in case.
Apologies, Val - Head Instructor

What a massive intake of new puppies and beginner dogs today. It was amazing and a pleasure to see you all in the relevant classes all over the training areas of our club. I want to thank all our awesome, hardworking Instructors from introductory through to grade 4 and 5. You alongside our admin staff, including Tiho, do a wonderful job and it's a joy to see our happy handlers with their equally happy dogs enjoying their training at Southern Districts. Thank you all so much - what a great team. Couldn't be more proud. Val - Head Instructor

Hi all members,
We will be training tomorrow (9/2/25) as the forecast for our area is 29 from BOM.
However as i have advised before , if you feel its too hot for you and/ or your dog, then please take this day off and stay in the cool at home.
Wednesday is not looking good at all with forecast if 40 so I most likely will advise we will not be training. Watch this space on Tuesday.
There will not be any AGILITY training on Monday evening (10/2/25) due to weather conditions for that day. Sorry guys.

Our TRICKS instructors have advised that they will be starting Tricks classes on Sunday 2/3/25 alongside all other trialling classes. And of course, will be starting Thursday evening training on Thursday evening 20th Feb. Then every first & third Thursday of each month at 7pm.

Stay cool and thank you all for your patience.
