Pet Memorial Day is a day to take a moment and remember the pets we have lost 🕯

In this industry, heartbreak is no stranger. Although difficult, it is such an honour to provide love and care to our patients in their last moments. However, sometimes while we stand beside you as you grieve your best-friend, we too suffer our own losses behind the scenes.

Thor - Mighty god of thunder, strength and storms! Also, one of our favourite little visitors at our Prospect clinic! 🐾

Thor visits our nurses every 4 weeks for his manicure 💅
He's always very well behaved for his nail trims and often sees the same nurse each week, which is a monthly highlight for Nurse Kate.

Thor also had an aptly named sister, keep your eyes on our page to meet another mighty god in our midst's! 👀

Now that we're well and truly into the winter months, you might find your senior pets slowing down a bit 🐾

When Bertie's dad noticed he was a bit tentative around his back end, he got Bertie in for a check with Dr Megan. She noticed that he was feeling particularly sore around his hips due to his progressing arthritis which, just like humans, can worsen in the cold❄

Thankfully, Bertie's Dad was onto it quick-smart and with Dr Megan, they have reassessed his arthritis management plan to ensure Bertie is comfortable in the colder months.

Miss Lily is an absolute favourite at the Prospect clinic. She visits semi-frequently due to some pesky ear infections that are common with her breed. But given her beautiful friendly nature, we're always so happy to see her bounding through the door 🤸‍♀️

We all had a good laugh as Lily's crazy hair at today's visit as she was scheduled to visit the groomer the following day! 💇‍♀️
