Hi friends and fans this is the new page that incorporated the old pages Cat Toys & Accessories and Tracie's Loving Care Cat Rescue and Adoption. Now called Tracie's Place (my home hobby)
I did this for many reasons the main ones are the difficulty and in continuity of running two pages and the confusion of customers not knowing that I Tracie-Anne Kearns run both CT&A and TLC. The Cat Toys and Acc

essories that I sell are purchased with my own money I either buy craft materials and create the item or purchase them for resale, My mum Rosemary Kearns more fondly known as Mumma Kearns is amazing with the knitting needles, crochet hook and sewing machines and helps make some fantastic items. My dad known on the page as Poppy K has taught me how to use tools and helped me create my kitty scratchers and is an invaluable source of knowledge. All funds raised by the sale of items go's directly to my rescue in the form of Vet bills, food, litter, worming, flea treatment and any other bits needed for the cats

My rescue side is a small home based rescue which I do by myself in my own home im not a big corporation or net work of carers, but I do have the support on my amazing parents and a fantastic vet clinic who offer me discount with the vet work which is required to ready the kitty for adoption
All wards (as I like to say) that come into the haven (sounds nicer than shelter) have a minimum of the following before they are ready to be rehomed
Desexed, Microchip, 1x F4 vaccination, flea and worm treatment. depending on the length of stay with me in the haven they will receive a full course of vaccinations and up keep on their boosters and worming and flea treatment. They also get re homed with a free bag of breeders choice and some other small tid bits I collect for them over their stay. Fibre Cycle have gratefully given me free bags of the litter to go home with the kitty's as a good marketing trial and if you like the litter its available from most shops. Im open and honest and always willing to help where I can, but as im so small I try to work with in my means really focusing on the health and welfare of those in my care, I have said no a lot and only take on extreme cases, but I will help you find another rescue or help you to foster through me and re home any kitty's needing our help. Update - thank you to everyone who donated. OldMate began his treatment tonight. We appreciate everyone who donated and reached out to us to offer support!! We can't thank you enough. We wish OldMate a speedy recovery!!

URGENT CRY FOR HELP TO SAVE OLDMATE!

Yesterday OldMate had his vaccination and a blood test done. We felt that something was a little off with him but haven't been able to put our finger on it other than small weight loss. We didn't expect our vet to phone us and say they believe OldMate has FIP. 2 vets have confirmed the same result. If left untreated, he will decline quite rapidly and will die. We need to get onto this asap if we have any chance of saving him. But the other kick in the guts is that medication will be a minimum of $1200 up front. He needs the full 85 day treatment from a chemist. We cannot save him without the treatment. Can you please help us save OldMate? The vet will write a script for us tomorrow but we need the money to be able to collect the tablets from a chemist. This is only part of the cost as he will also need regular blood tests to gauge how his treatment is going. Please help us treat OldMate and urgently save his life!!

As part of our commitment to supporting Rescue we are offering free vendor sites to a few rescue organisations. These sites will be 1 – 2 tables in size max. (approx. 8sqm max) Requirements will be negotiated with the successful rescues. These can display information, have cats on their stall, can sell their own merchandise or any products that are donated or handmade. No commercial products will be approved or cat beds.

Leo aka Neit needs our help!

Poor Rhiannon contacted us a few days ago saying that Leo aka Neit was unwell. He had gone off his food, spent most of his time hiding, had cat flu symptoms and looked miserable. We wasted no time in getting him into a vet asap. Poor Leo is unwell. He urgently needs a full dental extraction. His gums are severely inflamed. He was given a long lasting antibiotic and pain relief. Rhiannon unfortunately cannot afford to pay for the surgery. We also cannot let Leo go on in pain. We have received a quote and will go ahead with the surgery he desperately needs. But we need your help please! All donations of over $2 are tax deductible.
