Pepper kept me company last night, and enjoyed some scritches.

Bailey decided to take advantage of the heater running all weekend, and she indulged in a BIG soak in one of their water bowls 🛁

I don't think I've seen her this wet for some time aha

We have Spike on the 'top', Teddy on the left and Casper on the right.

Spike and Casper were the first birds I got after my first rescue, Nibbles, passed away - the Teddy joined the gang after he had been dumped at the local bird shop by his previous owners.

They are always - always together - even though Spike and Teddy can't stand each other, as they are both 'in love' with Casper.
Casper and Spike are considered bonded, but she doesn't mind sharing dinner with Teddy.

An update from this mornings post - Willow and Pepper actually shared the bowl this afternoon 😉

Willow was still IN the bowl - because why would he be normal, but Pepper got a bit brave and actually approached it as well 🎉

It's nice to see her slowly warming up to the rest of the feathered housemates!

Yesterday during their free time, Pepper was enjoying a quiet snack - not a care in the world.

Then Willow happened 😂

Willows goal in life is to make all of the other birds love him - he is the flock clown, and just wants to be friends with all of them.
So in all of his wisdom, he didn't think that joining her for said snack was a good idea.....
Instead - he got IN the bowl, and proceeded to eat from it while giving her his cute clown routine.....

Her face says it all 😂😂😂😂

Pepper has an admirer!

Charlie has been trying to catch her attention for a few weeks now - he started out quite over the top, and has since toned it down a bit.....

This approach meant Pepper didn't take off like she normally does 😉
I'm not sure she's any more impressed than before, but it's progress if nothing else!

These 2 would never survive in the wild - they decided to pick a freezing cold day to get soaked!

Luckily for them, I don't like the cold so it was a nice 24 degrees inside and they dried off under the heater - meantime the poor local birds are getting soaked with the rain, then frozen with the chilly winds.

Monty and Skittles don't know how good they have it aha!

How is that for a good looking haul for the birdies!

I ordered this from Kellyville Pets (plus there was some bird food) and am loving the platform perches - they are SO CHUNKY!!
The corkbark is always popular here as well, and it was nice to be able to get it in a different form to what the birds are used to.
The flat piece is huge - I need to figure out what I'm going to do with that.....
Maybe try to cut it down into platform sized pieces and try to thread some seagrass rope through it for a hanging perch/swing in their play area - we shall see!

Pepper got the 2 smaller perches and already tested one out - perfect for monching broccolini 😉
