Do you know what the four relationship killers are with horses?
Chauvinism: We think we are smarter or better than someone or something else.
Autocracy: We want to micromanage everything.
Anthropomorphism: Putting human thoughts and values into animals actions.
Direct line thinking: It's hard for us to think outside the box.

Horsemanship thought of the day -
Think about what each pattern is for/helps develop:

1.) Follow the Rail - develop basic responsibilities and forwards
2.) Circles - bending and relaxation
3.) Point to Point - straight lines and impulsion
4.) Clover Leaf - impulsion and straightness

Knowing this, what should you pro-actively do for times when your horse is not able to find forwards or a straight line?
What should you do for a horse with too much forwards or no bending?

Let's normalize showing the
"boring" stuff in horsemanship until more people realize the importance of it.
It's time to start doing more ground work. With more communication, more understanding, and using behavior based psychology you'll see the changes you're looking for
