When 3 dogs became 4!
Introducing Sky 🌙⭐️⛅️
Back in October last year, I briefly shared that Sky was a rescue needing a home and was convinced we would just continue fostering rather than filling our home with a fourth dog but yeh that didn't last long. So all of those who messaged predicting this would happen- well done! 😂
Here's her story:
She was rescued from a breeder operating out of a dilapidated building and was one of four husky-wolf siblings found along with their mother and an entourage of other huskies that the breeder had been holding.
She nearly found a home through the efforts of sole rescuers reaching out to people in their circles but it fell through and she went to a boarding facility for about one month. Her siblings had been re-homed so she was left alone.
Sky would have been about 4 months old at this time 😓
If she hadn't of been rescued she'd most likely have been used for breeding herself.
We heard she was in a temporary boarding set up, but the funding would run out so we figured we could foster her and use our platform to help find her a home. She was timid, scared, wary of people which is hardly surprising when you are trying to figure out the good from the bad but maybe some time in the ultimate Howl & Growl camp of 3 dogs, 2 cats, two children and days spent constantly out and about interacting with many people, many dogs and many situations would teach her how to live beyond the 4 walls that she'd only ever known.
She was quite scared when we first got her, she tried to run off at the first opportunity out of boarding, she would vomit anytime she was in the car, she'd cower down when you'd try to stroke and pet her.
She's a completely different dog today and is such a smart, sweet soul. We 💙 you Sky and so glad we could give you a forever home.
Welcome to the Howl & Growl pack
