I am going to skip the chicken, rice and pumpkin! Thank you very much š
Raven has always been fresh fed - since birth! However after the food poisoning a few years back - it really set us down a different path.
As difficult as it was; I stuck it out refusing to accept that conventional medicine was the way to āmanageā symptoms. Iām not saying itās bad - Iām saying thereās a time and place for conventional medicine and yes - it did come in handy during emergencies.
Yāall know that I talk about raising dogs as nature intended - itās not just a nice thing to say, itās how we live; what I practice and itās what motivates me to look for more natural modalities to support the whole body.
With all due respect to veterinarians in Dubai - the reality is that theyāre not deeply trained in integrative medicine so all they may tell you is add a probiotic, go slow with the food, give her omeprazole for acid reflux, observe and come back!
But thatās where we come in - thatās where our voices in the integrative space can make a difference & I am beyond grateful for the team of veterinarians that have understood Raven : her lifestyle , her energetics and her unique constitution and with their support , we are here today.
Yes - the world of eastern and western medicine can co-exist in beautiful harmony, we just need to know how to integrate the two!
So, remember- setbacks are just another way of the body giving us a sign that we need to look deeper. And life with dogs teaches us that patience is truly a virtue.
