On Smoke The MegaE GSD’s first anniversary I wanted to share something so very special to me.
The oddest legacy he left behind was a car window covered in nose prints and smudges. Every time I look in the rear view mirror, I see them and smile as I remember my beautiful boy.
A year on those smudges are still there as I won’t let anyone clean them off, not even when the car goes for a service and full valet.
One day though I know they’ll go, either by accident or when I am ready. But thanks to the amazing Art by Jocelyn I’ll still have them with me in the most special way possible.
Some people I am sure will think I am mad but taking me seriously, listening to my memories of Smoke, spending hours upon hours studying what is effectively Smoke’s slobber and snot smeared over my car window, ensuring Smoke’s ‘art work’ remains with me, Jocelyn’s love and care that went into creating this beautiful painting is one of the most precious gifts I have ever been given 🐾
