🐶🚶♂️ Here’s how to teach your dog to walk calmly beside you ❤️
👉 It’s totally normal for dogs to sniff around — that’s how they explore and learn about their surroundings! Let them do it, but use a command like “Off you go” so they know when it’s allowed.
✨ Start at home or in your backyard — fewer distractions, better focus.
Follow these quick steps:
1️⃣ Pick one side for your dog to walk on and stay consistent.
2️⃣ Hold a treat in the hand nearest to your dog; keep the leash loose in the other.
3️⃣ Walk forward, say “Heel,” and reward him when he stays beside you.
4️⃣ If he pulls away, change direction — when he follows, praise and treat!
💡 Tip: Freedom off the leash should be a reward for good leash behavior.
