Is there anything cuter than a kitten at play…??? 😻🤗❤️

But kitten play isn’t just frivolous cuteness it’s something far more interesting and important….

As one of the “Five Pillars of a Healthy Feline Environment” the opportunity for play and predatory behaviour is essential for cats 🐈 😽👌!

And as this teeny-tiny kitten was so happy to demonstrate… the predatory sequence is hardwired into a cats DNA, this isn’t a learnt behaviour…. It’s natural instinct and a behaviour that cats need the freedom to express to stay happy and healthy ❤️😻!

Super-sweet Floki, the very handsome German Shepherd, was with Dr Adrienn today following a referral from his Dubai based vet for root canal treatment🦷🐶👌.

Who can resist those emerald green eyes 👀?

Rocket and Starfire are just THE most beautiful kitties and, in case you were wondering, yes they are “Korat’s” an exquisite and entirely natural breed from Thailand who’s appearance has remained unchanged for centuries 🇹🇭😽!

Boarding with us for the last 3 weeks, these two fabulous felines have had the most lovely time and have been the most purrfect guests ❤️😻!

Which is not surprising when you consider that these amazing kitties have long been considered a symbol of good fortune 😻!

We love Kitten consults ❤️!!

Dr Katrin and Nora had THE best time with this momma and her four itsy-bitsy super-cute kittens today 😻❤️!

With a full range of GVC’s Cat Friendly AND Fear Free methods in use, this was basically a family fun day out with plenty of treats, cuddles, exploring, playing, gentle handling, a physical exam and, for one little bundle of fluff, a lovely snooze on the scales 💤 🤗😽.

At only 8 weeks old, every experience is still formative and these positive interactions with a veterinary team will help to create a trust, confidence and sense of safety that will be massively beneficial as these kitties get older 👌

Ahhhh…. That’s the spot 👌😻.

The life of clinic kitties Brad and Fred ain’t too shabby… cuddles, treats and purrfectly balanced nutritional diets on tap…. Plus, and for these two buddies a very important consideration…, the very best veterinary care whenever they need it - as these two are always getting up to some shenanigans 🙄😽!

However, this is 100% a two way relationship… and just like our own companion pets… our clinic kitties provide the team with much needed moments of peace and the comfort that only scritching a cat behind the ears can bring…

And in that moment of shared bliss, you absolutely know that it’s the humans who really benefit ❤️.

The human - animal bond is a beautiful thing 😻🤗🐶❤️

Snoozy spaniel Sofus was only too happy to take a nap on the waiting room sofa whilst the humans were doing chit-chat 🤗🐶!

Sofus is soon to be heading off on a big adventure with his family as they move to Oslo 🇳🇴 🐶!

First though was Sofus “fit-to-fly” appointment and the small matter of Joanna sorting out ALL the documents Sofus needs to ensure his smooth arrival in his new home country 🇳🇴👌

Hence the chit-chat…. And Sofus you were SUCH a good boy 🐶⭐️🤗!!

Clinical Manager Nora was only too happy to provide the purrsonal touch for super-sweet kitty Amelie’s “home-from-home” boarding stayCATion 😻!

With environmental safety and enrichment being such essential elements for kitty wellbeing, we know that those little details, like decorating with sofas and soft furnishings, alongside the cat trees and window hammocks, will reinforce those feelings of feline familiarity and (emotional) safety 👌

Add-in the pheromones, cat-friendly music, catnip, treats, cuddles (with permission only), gentle handling, emotional awareness, love, and excellent veterinary care….
