What’s a microchip?

A tiny, permanent RF ID (a micropchip is not a GPS tracker) about the size of a grain of rice, it is placed under the skin, normally between the shoulder blades.

Each chip has a unique 15-digit number.Key (RFID) The chip doesn’t store your info. It just gives the number that links to your pet’s registration record.

How lost pets get home

A:Vet/rescuer scans with a microchip scanner, the chip number pops up.they check that number in the database and call you to reunite your animal back to you.

Safe. Quick. Life-saving.🚨 Abu Dhabi Rule:

From Feb 2026, microchipping alone is not enough.

All cats and dogs MUST be registered with DMT through the TAMM system.The registration can only take place at a veterinary clinic to ensure annual vaccines are up to date.
