Sheep/Goat pox is a highly contagious viral disease that spreads rapidly among goats, leading to severe health complications and even death if not treated properly. Early detection and immediate action are crucial to saving your herd!

1. Isolate the Infected sheep/Goats
As soon as you notice symptoms (skin lesions, fever, loss of appetite), separate the infected goats from the healthy ones to prevent further spread.
2. Administer PENISTRIP & DEXAMETHASONE
~Inject 5ml of PENISTRIP (Penicillin & Streptomycin) and
~Inject 5ml of DEXAMETHASONE (anti-inflammatory)
~Repeat for three consecutive days
☆Warning:
Dexamethasone should NOT be used on pregnant goats as it can cause complications.
3. Spray for External Protection
After at least three days, spray the affected goats with an appropriate antiseptic solution to help clear skin infections and prevent secondary bacterial infections.
4. Optional:
Oxytetracycline 20% Injection
For additional bacterial infection control, you can inject Oxytetracycline 20% to help strengthen the immune response and combat complications.
