We truly hope this message reaches each and every one of you - it’s an important one ❤️

Every month we put out a plea for assistance. Some months go incredibly well, and other times our messages are sadly overlooked. But this month, more than ever, we’re hoping for a miracle.

December is upon us… which means Christmas, New Year’s, and unfortunately a heartbreaking rise in lost, abandoned, and injured animals. Over the last few weeks, we’ve had to turn away every single animal we’ve been contacted about - not because we don’t have space, but because we simply do not have the funds to carry even one more soul 💔 No matter how desperately they’ve needed us, we couldn’t help.

Our vet bill is currently sitting at just over R6,500, and until it is settled or at least significantly reduced we cannot take in any new animals 🙁
Our food bill is also always sky-high

The purpose of this plea is to help us prepare for the upcoming “silly season.” We would hate to go through the entire holiday period unable to open our doors. We want to help. We want to be ready for the injured, the lost, the abandoned - the ones who have no one else. But we cannot do this without you.

Please, please, please help us help them.

Meet Mia 💔

Mia is a beautiful 3-year-old oversized Dachshund girl who’s been through more heartache than any soul should. When she was found, her body told a story of suffering - thin, weak, and her tummy filled with terrible worms. She had clearly known hunger, loneliness, and neglect. 💔

But with time, gentle hands, and love, Mia began to heal. Slowly, her ribs faded under a healthy shine, and that spark - the one that had been dimmed for so long began to return to her eyes. Today, she’s a happy, healthy girl who finally knows what it means to be loved. 🥺❤️

She adores being around her humans and her furry friends, always craving closeness and comfort. But after everything she’s endured, Mia needs a calm, child-free home, a place where she can truly rest and never have to be afraid again. 🏡

Our sweet 4 year old Bear still hasn’t found his forever home, and we honestly can’t understand why🥹 We’ve had so many calls and enquiries about him, but sadly no one has followed through💔

Bear is the most gentle, loving soul a true fighter who’s overcome so much💙 We never thought he would see again, but over the past few weeks, his progress has been nothing short of incredible! Bear can finally see🤭 Not perfectly, but enough to make him so much more confident and full of life!

Hi everyone! 💫

We’ve been a little quiet lately - I unfortunately had a family emergency that needed my attention, and it’s taken some time to get everything back on track. The good news is that things are finally settling down, and we’ll be sharing regular updates again! 🐾

Even though our social media took a short break, our rescue work never stopped - and as always, the vet bills have continued to pile up.
