BARC Trust (IT 3001/2009),is an Animal Welfare Organization who's primary objective is to care for and relieve the suffering of mistreated and neglected animals in the greater Gansbay, Pearly Beach and Baardscheerdersbosch areas in the Western Cape, S.A. with only one Field Worker. Our animal holding area consists of 24 kennels and a cattery. There are four permanent workers. Our main objectives a
re animal welfare services like sterilization, dipping, parasite control. Unfortunately sometimes we have to euthanase suffering animals. Strayed and roaming animals are caught and kept in pounding until the owners are located. If not, we look for suitable and loving homes. We have a second hand shop where we sell goods donated by the public. There are various fund-raising projects through the year to raise money. Boarding Facilities for dogs and cats are also provided. Otherwise we are totally depended on financial donations from the public and other businesses. The above funding hardly covers the account for veterinary services and the running of the day to day expenses. We desperately need some extra funding to be able to provide veterinary services and care for the animals of the less privileged community. BARC is registered as a Public Beneficiary Organization no 930064524. A Tax Exemption Receipt (Section 18A receipts) will be issued with any financial contributions.
