Important Industry Update: Tariff Exemption for Hunted Trophies
We’ve got good news for our hunting community.
In light of the newly announced 30% trade tariff on goods exported from South Africa to the USA, concerns have understandably been raised across the industry.
Here’s what you need to know:
Hunted trophies are officially EXEMPT.
That’s right—sport-hunted trophies, including Dip & Pack and Taxidermy, will not attract the new tariff.
However, please take note of the following:
• Curios and stock items (purchased goods) WILL incur the 30% tariff.
• Shipping costs remain unchanged and are not affected by the tariff.
• Accurate hunting paperwork is critical—now more than ever, proper documentation ensures a smooth export process.
