Guess raw feeding is more difficult than scooping kibble from a bag, but there’s no comparison when it comes to the results.

Has anyone spotted our red island concept in a store yet? ❤️

Meet one of the Gold Sponsors: Craving Nature - Pty.

They believe in feeding pets the way nature intended. Cats and dogs are not small humans—they have unique dietary needs that are deeply rooted in their evolutionary history as carnivores.

For thousands of years, dogs and cats have thrived on a diet rich in animal protein, making meat a biological necessity, not just a preference. While dogs have adapted to digesting some plant-based foods, their bodies are still designed for a meat-based diet. Excessive carbohydrates in modern pet food have been linked to joint problems, allergies, and other health issues.

Cats, on the other hand, are obligate carnivores, meaning they require meat for survival. Their digestive systems are not built to process carbohydrates efficiently, and many modern feline health issues, including diabetes, have been linked to inappropriate diets. Research has shown that switching cats to a species-appropriate raw diet can reverse health conditions and restore vitality.

As a Gold Sponsor of the African Pet Health Summit, Craving Nature is proud to support education and awareness around species-appropriate feeding. We stand with pet parents and professionals who are dedicated to understanding and embracing natural, biologically appropriate nutrition for thriving, healthier pets.

Join us in the movement towards a more natural, healthier way of feeding our pets! 🐾

This is mind blowing … thanks for sharing this LittleAngels Pet Nutrition.

Well hello hello...in an interesting turn of events, Hills Pet Nutrition has acquired Prime 100, an Australian raw food company.

They clearly cannot spell HYPOCRITE!
While I am not against feeding kibble, this is shocking news.

After decades of being vehemently and openly against raw pet food and spreading misinformation about raw feeding, it has suddenly become ok to feed. Get ready to now learn that raw pet food is safe to feed, that there is no risk of parasites or your pet becoming ill from bacteria in the food. I feel as though they think us, as pet parents, to be gulliable enough to believe this new rhetoric. What are your thoughts, let me know in the comments.

This acquisition shouldn't dispel any doubts or confidence you may have had about this brand. They go with the wind, the wind of market share and profit rather than pet health and wellness. The fresh food industry is fast becoming a economical player in the industry, which Hills Pet Nutrition has recognised, so why not take on a piece of this.

It may take a bit longer, and mostly overseas than here but more vets will now strart promoting raw feeding where previously they were against it. I can't blame them as they will be trained by Hills to start informing clients about the wonders of raw foods.
Next time your vet chastises you about feeding or wanting to feed raw, let them know that Hills now thinks otherwise.

How do you feel about this?
