So. What did you do on Boxing Day? We built big-ass reptile tanks. These will be our Chinese Water Dragons' new homes.
They're not finished yet but we'll put the finishing touches in the next few days.

We are very proud to announce there is a new gene on the market HOG (High orange gene). There is a new gene available both locally and for the export market. HOG is now a registered gene on Morph Market and the full desxription will be in Morphpedia in the next day or so. This gene has massive potential.

Adam Bennett was checking eggs tonight and was candling this egg. It's the worst b**b egg we've ever seen but decided to incubate it anyway. It looks terrible but you can see a little heart has developed and is beating.
Amazing thing to witness. A true miracle of life. Send good vibes that this baby goes full term.

We have a colour coding system of pegs for our reptile rooms.
Blue pegs mean the snake is in shed, red pegs means that the snake is being fed, green pegs mean the snakes are mating and yellow/ brown means the tanks need a change of bedding.

We have never had so many snakes in blue at the same time. We've run out of blue pegs.
25 Adult snakes
26 yearlings
10 juveniles all in shed.

Wish us luck when they do shed.

Adam and I attended a snake handling course through African Reptiles and Venom today.
What an amazing experience. 🥳

We got to "handle" a puff adder, rinkhals, Mozambique spitting cobra and snounted cobra.

Mike Perry and his team are absolutely incredible: very knowledgeable and encouraging. They're patient and kind, especially with people who are not so confident.

If you love snakes (even if you don't want to keep venomous), do this course.
It is an amazing experience and a great day out.
It should definitely be on your bucket list.

Adam and I will be completing level 2 soon. We will learn how to work with a black mamba. 😆.

I can't recommend this course enough. Definitely an experience to remember.

Ryan, the proud new owner of our Super HOG pied het albino bred at our facility. Congratulations! She is stunning.
HOG stands for High Orange Gene and its an incomplete dominant gene.

HOG markers:
- Brings in a very strong orange colouration into the matrix background
- Forces pattern back into the saddles
- Increases contrast in the blacks
- Increases colour saturation
- May increase saddle edge roughness like in YB pieds (to be confirmed).

We are waiting for Morphmarket to add the gene.

Day 1 to 3.
Today, the generators were moved and the foundation was laid. We also took out the monster plant and the banana tree. By Friday, the slab will be laid.
We're moving along quite nicely.

Day 2. The size of the rubble pile and what the team achieved today. Tomorrow the generators will move and the tiles will be chipped out. The plants and fountain will also go.
