🌲Christmas lunches 2025🌲

We are aiming to feed 5000 animals this year. We need a total of a 125 buckets for this year.

This will be the 7th year that we are doing the Christmas lunches!!

Please share and help us make our goal to feed almost 5000 dogs and cats in December for Christmas. For some it will be their last proper meal..... We cannot change their situation but we can help them be happy for at least one day!!!!

Ai-marra-eish..... how do I start this🙈

We try and keep everyone happy, but sometimes it is not possible.

We all work full time jobs. We have to, as we have lots of mouths to feed.

We get to our emails when we can as caring for the animals is our first priority. We have full time caregivers for the animals that also cost a lot of money. So emails and messages are not on the top of our to-do-lists.

When we get application forms we first go through it, make sure you know what you are wanting to commit to. We then ask certain questions and ask for photos before we get a volunteer to arrange a home check. It takes time.

If you then decide to go and buy an animal from a petshop as your child is running the household and is putting pressure on you, and you then get the incorrect set up, which you know is wrong as we did send you the information sheet with the application form, and then decline your home as you are an impulse buyer who can't function under pressure, then we are sorry.

We also do not rehome certain critters to a home where there is another who could be of the opposite gender and later have a problem where the people decide to breed with them. Unfortunately we cannot sterilise certain animals as it is too dangerous for them.

So you can call us all the bad words you can find but it will still not change our minds.

We love our animals. We do not want them to be part of the neglected and abandoned statistics.

At the end of the day - and the moral of my long story is -

When you decide to adopt you must have patience, not be influenced by your offspring and understand that we try our best and only want the best for our animals.

We trust that you take notice of the above and that you do understand where we are coming from.

What wonderful news for people living in that area!! Dr Jackie doing what she does best -helping precious animals!!!!

After many months of planning and looking for our own little spot, we are very happy to announce that we are officially opening in Kraaifontein on Monday, the 4th of August. With some familiar faces that has gotten to know and love all our exotic patients, and some new faces that are eager to learn on the go.

We are already taking bookings so please WhatsApp or phone us on 060 381 9766 to make your booking and see our new spot.
