The hindgut is where fibre is fermented, nutrients are absorbed, and water is reabsorbed before waste is passed. It relies on a healthy balance of microbes — the good bacteria that break down forage and keep everything running smoothly.

But when that microbial balance is disrupted — through heat stress, diet changes, dehydration, or even a sudden change in hay — everything starts to go off course.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐖𝐒:

Disrupted Microbes = Poor Fermentation

When the population of beneficial bacteria drops (or the wrong ones take over), fibre isn’t broken down properly. This leads to gas, irritation, and excess acidity in the hindgut.

A horse that appears otherwise healthy… but has stained legs, sore skin under the tail, or watery splatter in the bedding. That’s F***l Water Syndrome, and it often starts with hindgut imbalance.

To be honest, Coco, Simply and Qui, but I love them all alot!

Let’s talk MAXIMUM GUT HEALTH FOCUS & CALM!

Last week I popped by Maree’s house for a sample of the Maximum Gut Health Focus & Calm, and I am blown away!

🌼What have I seen?🌼

I have seen consistent improvements in her focus during our training sessions over these last few days, she is working calmly and she has consistently been improving with every session!

Daisy doesn’t mind the taste at all! She even licks the powder residue off her bowl when she is done!
