This is Meatball!
He's the sweetest, funniest English Bulldog we've ever met. He'll cuddle with us on the couch or bed, and loves playing rowdy and chasing us around the garden. He also enjoys walks, lots of naps, and lots of love and treats 😍

We've been looking after him often over the past 2 years and have built a wonderful bond with him. 🐾 This is why we do what we do, because we love building relationships with pets and their parents, and continuing to look after them every time they need to be taken care of. 🥰🐾

Socialisation walks with Pawsitive Petz 😁🐾

This week, we introduced Billy and Chico the Yorkies to Harper the Wirehaired Terrier. They hit it off like old friends! 🥹
Billy and Chico were so accepting of Harper, and she loved meeting the boys and going for a walk with them. They're scheduled to walk together a few times every week, and we are so looking forward to growing the bond with them, and for them to grow the bond with each other. 🐶

🐾 Grooming Insight: Top Knot Care 🐶

Top knots look adorable on breeds like Yorkies, Shih Tzus, and some Poodles, but they need regular care. If the hair isn’t brushed daily, it can mat at the base, pulling painfully on the skin.

A beautiful style is always a partnership between the groomer’s cut and the owner’s upkeep at home. Proper top knot maintenance prevents discomfort and damage.

Essential care points:
-Daily brushing: Gently brush the top knot hair before re-tying to remove tangles, debris, and prevent mat formation.
-Gentle securing: Use coated elastic bands or soft scrunchies designed for pet hair, avoiding rubber bands that can catch and tear delicate strands. Secure firmly enough to hold but never so tight that it pulls the skin or causes the dog to shake their head.
-Base inspection: Check the scalp area daily where the top knot attaches for signs of redness, irritation, or developing hot spots.
-Rotation of position: Move the top knot placement slightly each day (forward, back, or to either side) to prevent constant tension on the same hair follicles and scalp area, which can lead to traction alopecia and permanent hair loss.
-Moisture control: Keep the top knot area completely dry, as trapped moisture creates an ideal environment for bacterial and yeast growth. After bathing or if the dog gets wet, carefully dry the base area and consider loosening or removing the top knot temporarily.
