📝 Notice when the scratching happens, which areas bother them and whether anything has recently changed, such as their shampoo, food or walking route. Share these observations with your vet rather than guessing at the cause.

🛁 Before their next groom, tell us about any sensitivities and your vet’s recommendations. Grooming supports coat care, but it doesn’t replace treatment for an underlying skin problem.

Pawsitive Petz is growing, and we’re looking for caring, dedicated handlers to join our team! 🐶🐱

If you have experience caring for other people’s pets and want to grow in the pet care industry, we’d love to hear from you. Explore opportunities across dog walking, training, pet sitting, pet transport and grooming.

You’ll need to:

📍 Live in Roodepoort, Randburg, Fourways, Bryanston or surrounding areas.
🚗 Have your own reliable transport. Uber does not qualify.
❤️ Love working with animals and prioritise their emotional wellbeing.
🐕 Have previous experience working with other people’s pets.
📚 Be willing to study further and develop your skills.
✅ Have a clear criminal record.

Relevant animal care qualifications or certificates will be an advantage.

A beautiful coat can hide tangles, trapped dirt and skin changes that are easy to miss during a quick cuddle.

Constant scratching, paw licking or red, irritated skin? Your dog could be uncomfortable. Allergies are one possible cause, but fleas and other skin problems can look similar, so persistent itching deserves a vet check.

🛁 Regular grooming is about more than looking good!
