What a special day for this lovely horse at her very first ridden show! Autumn Gold Cup 2026

I had the honour of riding her, and I couldn’t be prouder. From the moment she stepped into the arena, her temperament was absolutely incredible. She stayed calm, willing, and focused throughout the day, showing us what a wonderful horse she is. 2 months under saddle 🤩

First shows can be overwhelming, but she handled everything like a true superstar.

A huge congratulations to her owners & the Two Moons Stud on breeding and raising such a kind and well-mannered horse. The future is looking very bright for this special girl, and we can’t wait to see what she achieves next! ❤️🐎

Three years ago, Melaine Smit gave me the opportunity of a lifetime—to ride Destalsmit El Grande.

From the very beginning, I knew he was something truly special. A once-in-a-lifetime horse with a presence and heart that cannot be explained—only experienced. The journey we’ve taken together has not always been easy. It has required patience, trust, and an unwavering belief in one another. But through every challenge, we’ve built something rare—something that goes far beyond results.

Being number one in South Africa honestly means so much to me. With the level of competition, dedication, and passion in this country, it’s something really special. To share that moment with a horse like this is something I’ll always be proud of.

The bond we share means more than any title ever could. He has shaped me—not only as a rider, but as a person—and for that, I am endlessly grateful.
