A palatable supplement in meal form scientifically formulated to supply the protein, mineral and vitamin requirements of all the life stages of the equine.
Balanced rations are recommended in animal nutrition in order to promote optimum growth, reproductive or performance results. Such a balanced ration can be compared to a chain where each nutrient resembles a link. The weakest link in the nutritional chain is where the chain will break.
A team of nutritionists and veterinarians developed Equitonik Balancer to meet all the nutritional needs of the equine at all life stages. Equitonik is formulated as a means to allow any horse to reach its full potential.
Equitonik is a Protein-Mineral supplement with palatable molasses as a carrier base, which supplies additional sugars to the supplement which aid in the transport of minerals across membranes for absorption, and prevents sifting out of the micro-elements.

This balencer is suitable for all Equine life stages, including pregnant mares, mares with foals at foot, weanlings, young stock, all working horses regardless of intensity of work, horses being spelled, convalescent and retired horses.

High Protein content makes it easier to feed as only a small quantity is required to meet the daily protein requirements. (500g to 1kg per day recommended)
High Quality Protein. The protein source is palatable high-quality full fat soy meal. The availability of the essential amino acids to the horse is ensured.
Palatability ensures that the horse’s intake is sufficient to meet all the nutritional requirements.

The phosphorus used is a high-quality monocalcium-phosphate that is the best source of available phosphorus to the monogastric animal. A large part of the calcium included in the formulation comes from mineralized seaweed, presented as a granular meal.
Microscopically, this calcium source has a honeycomb structure that is progressively broken down, neutralizing excess acidity and acid hotspots in the stomach with its buffering effect. The ratio of the three macro-elements, (Calcium, Phosphorus and Magnesium is in accordance with scientific recommendations).
All the vitamins and trace elements that are included are also backed by recent scientific studies, particularly for the endurance horse.
Live microbial cultures (yeast and bacteria) enhance fibre digestibility and boost the immune system, thus enhancing the horse’s health and performance. Providing these to foals shortly after birth enhances the microbial population of the foal’s intestinal tract with beneficial bacteria to the exclusion of harmful bacteria. The live cultures also help maintain appropriate intestinal flora in mature horses.
Antioxidants and toxin binders enhance the safety of the product.
Acid buff is a readily available source of calcium with a buffering action to provide protection against acid burn and gastric ulceration.
Omega 3 is provided by the addition of salmon powder, to counteract the damaging effects of free radicals.
