Our experience with both rescued cats and feral cats, allows us to build our businesses based on feline behavior and our extensive experience with cats. Update from Catopia 🐾🌬️

We’re okay! With the sudden icy gale force winds and chaos today, we managed to secure everything down — bungee cords held down the roof sheets on the skywalk and the tarp over catios in place, and most importantly, everyone is safe. 💪🏼😽

All our kitties are indoors, snug and warm, with windows and doors closed tightly to keep out the cold. No major damage here at Catopia Cat Boarding, though it looks like the trees donated most of their leaves to our garden! 🍂

A big thank you to those who called to check in and offered help - your kindness never goes unnoticed. 🙏🫶 And to the worried paw-rents: your precious babies are doing just fine, safe and toasty. 🐱❤️

💔 In Loving Memory of Tom 🌈

Today we said goodbye to a truly special soul - a beloved kitty boarder who became our family. Tom, the stoic and regal gentleman, crossed the rainbow bridge🌈 after a brave battle with stage 4 kidney disease. He made sure that no one knew he had it and didnt complain or fuss, the true Tom that he was.

He spent 16 months at Catopia Cat Boarding before emigrating to Northern Ireland to be reunited with his loving mom. In all that time, Tom never made a fuss - he was one of the most chilled, gentle gents I’ve ever had the privilege of caring for. Always composed, always kind. Even in illness, he hid his pain with quiet strength.

Though I couldn't be there to say my final goodbye💔, he took a piece of my heart with him.

You’ve left behind so many broken hearts - Bandit, Timmy, Silver, Simpkins, and of course, the humans who loved you deeply😭. Thank you, Tom, for sharing a precious part of your life with us. You will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, sweet boy. Your memory will forever live on in our hearts. 🐾🕊️💫

A heartfelt welcome to the beautiful floofs, Kai and Tucker! 🐾💛

Tucker was lovingly bottle-fed as a kitten and is his mommy’s pride and joy — but Kai, as her mom says, is her reason for living. 💖 I absolutely adore when people speak about their cats this way. It’s deeply comforting to know there are so many wonderful guardians around me who see their furbabies not just as pets, but as true family — and would make sure they are safe and cared for in their absence. That kind of love gives me the warmest, fuzziest feeling inside. 🥹✨

This sweet duo is all tucked in for the weekend, still decompressing with big, curious eyes and a bit of overstimulation. But oh, they are cuddly and gentle at heart.

Kai looks every bit the majestic Norwegian Forest Cat — or at least close — and she’s a gorgeous chunky monkey (which only means there’s more of her to love! 😍). Tucker, on the other hand, is a hissy (hiss no bite 😅) little sweetheart who just needs some gentle reassurance that everything is okay and that mom will be back soon after her well-deserved short weekend away. 🐱💕

We’re so glad to have them with us for a little staycation at Catopia. 🏡🐾

Meet Kenergy, our newest guest at Catopia! He’s a beautiful tabby boy with the biggest eyes and friendly nature. Friendly and sweet, but understandably overwhelmed - it’s his very first time away from home, and it’s a big adjustment for him.

If you know me, you’ll know I’m a total sucker for tabbies… and this boy is a beaut!! He’s already crept into my heart with his quiet charm and brave little soul. 🤎🖤

🎉 Scabby is Back!!! 🎉

ATTENTION: Scabby has arrived — and as always, it’s her way or the highway! 😼😆

This isn’t Scabby’s first stay with us — she’s a seasoned guest who knows the drill. But true to form, she’ll sulk for the first day or two. That’s just her demeanor. She's also incredibly talkative… and when Scabby is talking (let’s be honest, mostly complaining🤫), everyone else needs to zip it🤐. She does not appreciate being spoken over — she only agrees with the sound of her own voice. 👑😂

What Scabby wants, Scabby gets. And honestly? We wouldn't have it any other way.

🌿🐾 Welcome, sweet Odie 🐾🌿

This little ginger and white boy has joined us for the weekend, and while he’s a bit shy and unsure right now of where and why he is here, we completely understand — a new environment can be overwhelming. 💛

Odie is timid, but has already shown us that he’s open to soft head scratches and gentle affection. We are sure in no time he will warm up to lots of love, and we know he’ll start to feel more relaxed and comfortable at Catopia Cat Boarding and enjoy what this is all about. 🧡

He’ll be back again at the end of June for a longer stay🙌, and we’re looking forward to helping him settle in and see how peaceful and lovely a weekend away can be.
