What Your Frenchie Is Really Trying to Tell You 🤍

French Bulldogs may be small, but their personalities—and the way they communicate—are anything but. Every little action, from that signature head tilt to their dramatic bedtime routines, carries meaning. Once you start understanding these behaviors, you realise just how expressive and intelligent your Frenchie truly is.

That classic head tilt? It’s not just adorable—it’s focus. Your Frenchie is trying to better hear and understand you. They’re tuning into your voice, picking up on tones, and processing what you’re saying. It’s their way of saying, “I’m listening.”

When your Frenchie spins in circles before settling down, it’s instinct. This behaviour comes from their ancestors, who would circle to create a safe, comfortable sleeping spot. Even with the softest bed, that natural instinct is still part of who they are.

Then there’s the little “detective mode” moment—air sniffing. Their sense of smell is incredibly powerful, allowing them to pick up scents we can’t even imagine. To your Frenchie, the air is full of stories waiting to be understood.

And yes… even eating grass has its place. While it may seem unusual, many dogs do this to support digestion or soothe their stomach. It’s not always something to worry about—it’s often just natural behaviour.
