Meet another of our guest speakers for the Commerce Week, Boitumelo Soke.

Boitumelo is an Anthropology student, a recipient of the JP Morgan scholarship for Small Business Boost with the Enterprise Development Academy at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) with various business interests including renewable energy and property development.

She is the co-founder of a virtual mall, Red puppy, an exclusively black owned e-commerce platform supporting Small to Medium Enterprises with exposure to a wider and diverse audience, established in October 2019 and launched in March 2020.

“We are passionate about changing the narrative and braking systems which are limiting SMMEs to having access to a network of like minded entrepreneurs. Our quest is to actively alleviate unemployment, eradicating poverty, educating each other through workshops and seminars on how to create generational wealth.” - Boitumelo Soke

She has 9 years’ experience in higher education, having worked for institutions of higher learning such as Milpark Education and The University of Johannesburg.

Today we choose perky Boipelo 💅

Boipelo Tlalang is a perky 25 year old, who loves watching movies and series on her spare time, going out with friends and spending time with her family. She enjoys exploring the depths of her inner capabilities. Ambitious, self driven, self taught make up enthusiastic, nail technician and founder of Nails by Bloomy.

Her passion for nail art started at a very young age when her mum used to buy Avon nail polishes and nail art tools for her. This led to the foundation of Nails by Bloomy in 2019.

Bloomy I based in Soweto offers quality nails at an affordable price for both students and the working class. They pride themselves on exceptional customer service in the township. The journey has been gracious and the growth has been amazing. Making people feel good about their nails is her specialty.

Phatsima Mosadi 🍯🍯🍯

Nthabiseng Mokone has been involved in aesthetics for the past 11 years. She started her career working on the ships and was later appointed as a trainer in the Middle East. She was responsible for training skincare therapists and doctors in the medical and non-medical aesthetic industry.
Whilst in the Middle East, She was awarded "The youngest best trainer and mentor"award. Nthabi also ended in the Top 5 in the Yag Laser Master Class in the Middle East and top Non-Citizen AESTETIC student.

She believes that knowledge empowers you, so she is currently furthering her studies in Somatology. Her journey has not been all smooth sailing, in 2018 a horrific experience left her depressed, judged and lonely. People felt distant and she lived in a world of make believe. It was during this lonely time that she found her strength in God.

He heard her cries and gave her the strength to carry on and a heart that was able to forgive. Through His mercy her life had a complete turn around and “ ” was born. Without realising it, this was her sign of healing and blooming in all aspects of her life!

Now she shares this healing and blessing everyday through her work at Leano Aesthetic Clinic. Leano Aesthetic is there for everyone that has faced or is going through a transition, or who just needs to gain self-confidence and feel good again about themselves, their skin, body or mind!

Portia Morudi is a social entrepreneur, Psychology graduate, a certified business professional, a farmer and conservationist. She is a former DreamGirls Int mentor and a One Young World ambassador.

She sits as an advisor and board member in various organisations such as The Dr Sam Motsuenyane Rural Development Foundation and Igalelo, and has participated in the government of South Africa’s DPME 25-Year Review Report of Democratic Governance and Service Delivery, with the focus on Vibrant, Equitable Sustainable and Rural Communities contributing towards food security.

She co-founded The Village Market Africa, which is a social FMCG enterprise with a vision of a new positive reality of African communities with quality standards of sustainable living in harmony with the environment.

Mmabatho is passionate about development in Africa through education, entrepreneurship, innovation & research and agriculture as she believes these to be sustainable answers to eradicating poverty especially in rural communities.
