🌼🐾 IS YOUR PET SCRATCHING MORE THIS SPRING?

Have you noticed your dog scratching, licking their paws or shaking their ears more than usual?

Spring is beautiful, but it can bring a few itchy challenges for our dogs and cats💚💚

🐶🐱 Keep an eye out for:

🐾Constant scratching or licking
🐾Red or irritated skin
🐾Hair loss or sore patches
🐾Frequent ear scratching or head shaking

Fleas, parasites, allergies and other skin conditions can cause similar symptoms, so it's important to find out what's behind the itch.

If your pet’s tick and flea treatment is up to date and the itching and scratching persist, rather get it checked out.

🐾FLEAS & TICKS: LET'S TALK PREVENTION! 🐾

Warmer spring weather means it's a great time to check whether your pet's parasite protection is up to date.😎

Even pets who spend most of their time indoors can be exposed to fleas.
And the ticks in Knysna seem to have appeared overnight😳

A few reminders:
🐱 Keep preventative treatments up to date🐶
🏡 Wash pet bedding regularly and keep resting areas clean.
🔎 Check your pet's coat after outdoor advenrues.

If you are not sure and would like some advice, give us a call or pop in and chat to one of our lovely ladies on reception💚

Important:
Never use a dog flea or tick product on a cat unless it is specifically labelled as safe for cats. Some dog products can be highly toxic to them.
