THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE DON'T STOP

Today we collected another dog from the side of the road.

Maybe it was an accident. Maybe the driver never saw him. Maybe they panicked.
But what we do know is that this animal was left behind
If you hit an animal—even by accident—

STOP.
📍 Check if the animal is alive. 📍 Call the SPCA, a rescue, a vet, or someone who can help. 📍 Move them to safety if possible. 📍

Don't drive away and pretend it never happened.

An accident is one thing.
Leaving a living, suffering animal to die alone on the side of the road is another.
Rescuers should not be the ones getting the call hours later to collect what is left behind. We are tired of picking up the pieces of other people's lack of responsibility.

This dog mattered. This dog felt pain. This dog deserved better.
Please. Have some decency. Have some compassion.

💔 RESCUE INTAKE – WESTONARIA 💔

Meet this beautiful boy.

We estimate him to be only around 7 months old, yet his little body already tells a story no puppy should ever have to live through.

Covered in scars, underweight, bruised, and terrified of other dogs, it appears that life has been incredibly cruel to him. While we cannot say for certain what happened, his injuries and behaviour strongly suggest a history of severe neglect and abuse.

When he should have been learning how to play, trust, and simply be a puppy, he was surviving.

Despite everything, he still looks to people for comfort. He still wants affection. He still wants to believe that humans can be kind.

And that breaks our hearts.

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. No more fear. No more pain. No more fighting for survival.

Now he will learn what it means to be safe, loved, fed, and protected. ❤️

Please keep him in your thoughts as he begins his journey of healing.

People think “rescue” is just picking an animal up.

It’s not.

Rescue is only the beginning.

“Rebuilt” is the part nobody really sees.
Rebuilt is the mange healing.
Rebuilt is the weight slowly coming back.
Rebuilt is learning that hands can be gentle.
Rebuilt is the first proper meal.
The first warm blanket.

The first tail wag.
The first time they sleep peacefully instead of surviving.

Rebuilt means taking an animal that came from neglect, fear, sickness, abandonment or uncertainty…
and helping them become whole again. ❤️

Sometimes the scars stay.
Sometimes the healing takes weeks.
Sometimes months.
But little by little…
they start trusting again. 🐾

That’s what “Rebuilt” means in ResQ R.R.R.

Not perfection.
Healing.
Growth.
Safety.
Second chances.

Rescue. Rebuilt. Repeat. ❤️

Bella has been waiting… and waiting… while other dogs get chosen around her. 💔
She’s only 9 months old.
Still a puppy.

Still goofy.
Still running around with her giant ears and silly little smile like life hasn’t disappointed her already.

🐾✨ DELGADO FOUND HIS PERSON ✨🐾

And just look at that face 😭❤️

Our fluffy little teddy bear, Delgado, is officially home.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing a rescue puppy relax into someone’s arms like they already know: “I’m safe now.” And that’s exactly what this feels like.

From uncertainty and rescue…
to cuddles at work, soft blankets, warm arms, and a mom already completely in love with him 🥹🐶

Delgado has always had the gentlest little soul — quiet, affectionate, emotional, and those giant eyes that could melt literally anybody within seconds. Watching him leave was bittersweet… but seeing him THIS happy makes it all worth it.

And somehow… life made this story even sweeter ❤️

Delgado’s new mom is friends and colleagues with Syngin’s new mom — meaning these two rescue brothers are now officially OFFICE BUDDIES 😭🐾🐾

Out of all the endings these boys could have had, they somehow still get to see each other while living their best little lives.

Thank you for choosing rescue.
Thank you for opening your heart to one of our very first ResQ R.R.R babies. ❤️
