We’ve recently been made aware of a scam operation called “Pup Aura” falsely advertising puppies for sale across South Africa. These kinds of scams are heartbreaking — not only do families lose money, but they also endure emotional disappointment thinking they’re welcoming a furry friend into their lives.

Please protect yourself and your loved ones by following these essential safety tips before making any payment for a pet:

🔴 ALWAYS ask for a real-time video call to meet the puppy and speak to the seller.
🚫 Be extremely cautious of pages that advertise many breeds all available at the same time — this is a major red flag.
❗ If it feels rushed or too good to be true — it likely is.
🐶 Real, ethical breeders or agencies will never pressure you into a fast sale without transparency.

If you’ve been approached by “Pup Aura” or a similar page, please report them immediately and don’t engage further.
