Boston Terrier Rescue is made up of a small group of dedicated volunteers from around the country. Together we rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abandoned, unwanted, neglected and surrendered dogs of any age. We network extensively and spread the word about Boston’s in shelters, take fosters into our own homes and conduct extensive home checks to ensure that when we re-home a dog, it is for life. W

e understand that people’s circumstances can change, and we are always happy to assist with surrendered dogs or finding the best possible forever home. Donations can be made to:

Wonderful news — Musha has an adSPCA Nigellication. absolutely thrilled for this special boy and are holding thumbs that all goes well and his application is approved.

Thank you to everyone who shared his story and helped get him noticed — and a heartfelt thank you to the family who chose to adopt. You’re giving Musha the second chance he so deeply deserves.

Our sweet “little big guy” Musha is still waiting...
He’s sparked some interest, but sadly, not a single adoption application has come through yet.

Musha is an awesome, gentle soul — the kind of dog who just wants love, kindness, and a family to call his own. He’s got so much to give… all he needs is a chance.

Let’s not let this beautiful boy wait any longer. Please share, care, and help us find Musha the forever home he deserves.

SPCA Adoption Steps:
1. Meet and greet must be done in person before adoption application is accepted.
2. Pre-home check is mandatory before adoption application is approved
3. For adoptions across SPCA jurisdictions all relevant documents are forwarded to the SPCA in the receiving area. That SPCA is responsible for conducting pre- and post-home checks. No pre-home checks may be conducted based solely on a phone call
4. Adoption fee must be paid before sterilisation is booked at the vet
5. Adoption fee: Cats @ R900 includes sterilisation, first vaccination & microchip
6. Adoption fee: Dogs @ R1000 includes sterilisation, first vaccination & microchip

Meet Ranger & Meesha

This is one of the most difficult rehoming la for us as a rescue.

Ranger and Meesha are a beautiful, bonded pair of older doggies who have just 4 weeks left to find a new home. Their family is emigrating, and the cost of taking them overseas is sadly too high. We are heartbroken.

Ranger was adopted from us 8 years ago as a sweet Bostie-cross puppy. He’s now 8 years old, and his sister Meesha, just one year older at 9, has been his faithful companion ever since. They’ve known nothing but love, and now, through no fault of their own, they are in urgent need of a second chance.

Rangers mom was a bostie, dad we don’t know. He’s the size of a big boston. Meesha is a boston.

They are both happy, healthy, and easygoing. They don’t ask for much – just a warm bed and someone to love them through their golden years ♥️

They’ve lived a quiet life and aren’t well socialised with other pets, so we’re asking for a home with no other animals, where they can settle gently.

We know it’s a big ask. Older dogs. A cross. A bonded pair. A short deadline. But we also know how deeply and quietly they will love the family who gives them a chance 🙏🏻 Please, if your heart is open, consider giving Ranger & Meesha the retirement they deserve.

We are looking for a Gauteng home. If you can help, please email us at [email protected], or fill in our adoption application here: http://bostonterrier.org.za/adoption-application/

Please help us find them a home by sharing this post 🐾❤️

UPDATE: We have offered to help. We will wait to hear from them now. Thank you for always supporting our rescue efforts. With so many in need, we are confident that we can make a difference - one doggy at a time 🥰

🆘 Can we raise the funds to help these 2 Bosties?

We woke up this morning to multiple messages requesting urgent assistance with taking in 2 more Bosties. At a day's notice, can you believe it? It feels like we are drowning!
Drowning in surgeries, drowning in vet bills and no foster homes to help on short notice (or close to our vet where treatment is given in Pta). It is taking a toll on us emotionally. We've had to surrender a few Bosties to the SPCA lately. As you can see from the posts, we are networking because we are not coping.

If we can't raise funds, we can't help.
If we raise funds today, we can bring them in.
They need a safe place to stay (kennelling is close to the vet), vaccinations, 2x cherry eye surgeries, transport, and food.

It takes at least 3–4 weeks to rehabilitate and rehome.

Update on Zoey & Paco (the 2 from Rustenburg)

These 2 cuties had their follow up vet visit today - and we are happy to say they are recovering & healing well ❤️‍🩹

However Zoey is developing cherry eye on the right side also and will need another surgery! 😢 She’s receiving medicated drops in her left eye as the inflammation after her cherry eye repair is still high (it’s normal to take a few weeks).

Their noses healed nicely - and they can breathe well now. Their steri stitches were also removed.

We need help to cover their ongoing vet bills, food costs and also kennel fees while we search for their perfect home. The vet says we need to wait before sending them off as we need to fix the other eye first. So they will be with us another 2 or 3 weeks.

We would really appreciate any small donation toward their bills please 🙏🏻

Meet Zoey & Paco

Just a week ago, little Zoey (1 year old) and Paco (2 years old) came into our care. Since then, they’ve been absolute stars 🌟 settling in beautifully and making a remarkable recovery after their surgeries.

In fact, they’re doing so well that we’re now ready to start looking for their perfect forever home! They’ll be having their next vet check-ups in about a week, and after that, they’ll be all set for adoption ❤️🐾

Zoey and Paco are fantastic with children and would make great companions in any family. (Zoey just wants kisses and doesn't know what personal space is 😁). They are not big bosties, and still underweight.

They’ve been sterilised, vaccinated, microchipped, and have had all necessary procedures done – including cherry eye repair for Zoey and nose plasty for both. Everything they’ve needed has been taken care of. There is no financial worry for the new home. Special request: they eat Ultra Dog now.

They are young, they are active, and they need a garden to play in. Please no open or not-secured pools.

Because Zoey had a cherry eye repair, we are looking for a local home in the Pretoria East area (or close by if you are prepared to travel here once or twice) to allow for any potential follow-ups with our vets.

They are a bonded pair and will be adopted together. The adoption fee is R1800 for the pair. It includes their sterilisation, all vaccinations and microchips.

Please complete the adoption application here: http://bostonterrier.org.za/adoption-application/

Let’s find them the loving home they deserve!
