Spring has sprung and it's time to play!

❤️ A bittersweet creation ❤️

A few months ago, I was tasked with making a Kurtha for an old boy named Cone for his Mom and Dads upcoming wedding. They wanted him to be warm and look dashing at the same time.

It was a super exciting project, and I was asked to incorporate parts of leftover Sari fabric into the jacket.

After a few adjustments, I got the jacket to fit comfortably, which was important with Cone having arthritis in his joints.

Sadly, a week before the wedding, Cone, who was 14, hit a sudden decline, and we weren't sure if he'd make it to the wedding day. Some tough decisions lay ahead for his parents, but he pulled through just to make it through the weekend. He put on one last proud performance for his parents' special day and even gave them extra kisses throughout the day. 🥹

On Monday following the wedding, he unfortunately had to be sent over the Rainbow Bridge.

It was such an honour to play a small part in this special occasion and to get to know Cone. His Mom presented me with the sweetest gift last week, which had me in tears for days.

Play in peace, sweet boy. You were so loved. ❤️

💙 Fanie's 25th Birthday! 💙

Fanie celebrated his Quarter Century at the Animal Welfare Society of SA on Saturday, 10th February 2024.

Several local brands jumped in to donate treats and spoils for Fanie's special surprise pawty and a pawty he did have! 💙

The time has come to pause, sit with myself, and reassess where The Petporium is and where I am at.

With 100% honesty, I am not happy where we're currently at, and I want to have something I am proud of and look forward to working on every day with energy and motivation.

It's been a tough couple of months, and I never got to take the break that I so desperately needed, and I think that it's caught up with me. I'm not sure if I've hit burnout or if I'm close to it, but my body and brain are not working like they should, and I am perpetually tired.

I will be completing all outstanding orders, but I will unfortunately be taking any new orders. I will also be closing the website for sales until further notice.

I'd like to thank you all for your support, love, and business over the last year and a half. I appreciate every single order that has come our way, and it has been an honour making all the special things for your pets.

So this is not goodbye, but see you later...🐾❤️

Crisp Creations made the most beautiful hand beaded pet collars. The industry has lost such a talent.

It's snowing in Joburg!!! ❄️❄️❄️

While its very exciting for us all, the doggos are feeling it! 🥶 Please make sure your pets are adequately catered for. ❤️

Pets should be indoors and definitely not outside!

Heat packs can be used to warm up beds. Make sure they're not too hot and won't scald or burn your dog or cat.

Jerseys add an extra layer of warmth.

Lots of blankets and a warm bed will make all the difference.

✨️🎉 OFFICIAL HANDOVER ✨️🎉

We were honoured to be invited to South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind yesterday to officially hand over the funds raised at The Picnic and Pupcake Festival last month.

We raised a total of R15 250! Which for our first-ever event was phenomenal.

Thank you again to everyone who was involved, everyone who attended and to those who donated towards this special cause. ❤️

We are truly humbled by our pet community and what we can achieve together. 🫶🏻
