SANDOWN PET CENTRE IN JEFFREYS BAY
Sandown Pet Centre was established in 1986, when it’s founder, Mike Stanley, decided to simplify his life, after having spent a number of years in the fast food business in Port Elizabeth.
The Pet Centre started off with humble beginnings. In those days, Jeffreys Bay was little more than a sleepy hollow, mainly known to the surfing community, and opening up shop dressed in a swimming costume was considered acceptable.
Initially Sandown Pet Centre proved to be a good little business, and over the years it grew into a very good little business..... but it was still little! Then, in 2012, the business relocated into larger and more visible premises in the same complex, and the business expanded!
In 2016 the company purchased their own business premises, and the “Headquarters” of Sandown Pet Centre was born. With the acquisition of this second store, we were able to expand our range of stock and services.
Today, we are able to offer all our clients a wide range of pets and pet accessories. We have been grooming dogs and cats for many years, and also run a fetch and delivery service for our many grooming clients. We also do boarding of birds and other small animals.
We recently launched our Marine fish section, which is housed at our recently opened headquarters, situated at 20 Goedehoop Street, where we also carry a wide range of concrete Water Features, fountains, and assorted garden ornaments. Our scenic garden is laid out in a manner which allows our large exotic parrots to roam free during the day, and our many tamed parrots help children to interact freely in a controlled environment.
We also have a number of ponds which house beautiful Koi and Goldfish, and we are endeavoring to make Sandown Pet Centre into a rich and rewarding destination point for all animal lovers. We would be honored should you decide to pay us a visit.
