We have a modern, spacious purpose built Veterinary Practice with features such as a separate imaging room, pharmacy and sterile surgical suite. You are welcome to ask to have a tour of the Clinic. Of recent times we have made a range of renovations and modernisations and also added some of the latest Veterinary equipment. Our passion for the clinic and our work here means we will continue, with your support, to improve the range of services that can be provided to our clients and their furry companions on the Peninsula.

🐶Oral Health Awareness Month!🐱

For the month of August we are offering a special & limited time only promotion. Book your beloved pet in for a dental cleaning this month & receive 10% off dental treatments as well as FREE dental X-rays.

Did you know that at the age of 2 around 70% of cats and 80% of dogs are already beginning to show signs of dental disease? Just like us, cats and dogs can suffer from oral health issues, problems that begin with the build up of plaque that hardens into tartar. If left untreated, this can lead to gingivitis, a condition where the gums become inflamed and painful. Eventually periodontal disease will develop, which not only means the loss of teeth, but also puts other organs in the body at risk for infection and disease.

If you are interested in a dental cleaning for your pet and would like to know more, our nurses at reception would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Happy Friday everyone!

We have had a lovely lady pick up this sweet boy, who was wondering alone around Walton Avenue in Red Beach. We are hoping to reach his owners, who must surely be missing this handsome pup. He is desexed and microchipped, but unfortunately not registered on NZCAR (we would be happy to do this for you, for a small fee!). It is an important reminder of how key it is to register your pet's microchip to get them home quickly.

Whangaparaoa Vet Centre will be closed Monday 2 June for King's Birthday public holiday. The clinic is open Saturday and Sunday as normal and reopens on Tuesday 3 June at 8am. We hope everyone enjoys the extra day in the weekend to spend with their pets!
