A mare bred for the top of the sport, Fleur-de-Lys combines some of the most influential showjumping bloodlines in Europe.

By For Joy, a son of the legendary For Pleasure, and out of a damline packed with proven performers including Iroko, Pilot, Burggraaf, Landgraf I, and Cor de la Bryère. Her pedigree also carries a double influence of Graphit, one of Hanover’s most respected jumping sires.

This is a broodmare with generations of elite Hanoverian, Holsteiner and KWPN genetics behind her, and we are incredibly excited about her future contribution to our breeding program.

We are incredibly proud to welcome Dageraad Else to the Ferrero Warmblood Stud broodmare band.

A beautiful Belgian Warmblood mare, Else combines proven performance with exceptional European bloodlines. Sired by the renowned Goodtimes KWPN and out of the KWPN mare Karogina, she carries generations of genetics renowned for producing scope, athleticism, carefulness, and rideability.

Having successfully competed in show jumping in South Africa, Else now begins the next chapter of her career as a broodmare, where we believe her greatest legacy is still to come.

At Ferrero Warmblood Stud, our vision is to breed modern sport horses capable of excelling at the highest levels, and we are excited to have a mare of Else’s quality as part of that journey.

We are delighted to welcome Lochwood Allier to the Ferrero Warmblood Stud broodmare band.🤩

A proven 1.35m showjumper, Lochwood Allier combines performance with one of South Africa’s most influential and successful show jumping dam lines. Her pedigree brings together some of the world’s most respected bloodlines, including Argentinus, Zeus, Joyau d’Or, Jalisco B, Landgraf I, and Almé—stallions renowned for producing elite international jumpers.

Through the exceptional Alzu Battante family, she represents generations of proven athleticism, rideability, and breeding excellence, making her an exciting addition to our breeding programme.

To make this opportunity even more special, Lochwood Allier will be confirmed in foal to Cyrus M53 (Cornet Obolensky/Kannan) combining two exceptional pedigrees with the promise of an exciting future.

Landgraf I: The Holsteiner Legend Who Shaped Modern Show Jumping 🐴✨

Few stallions have left a hoofprint as deep as Landgraf I. Born in 1966, this iconic Holsteiner stallion became one of the most influential sires in modern sport horse breeding, especially in show jumping. 🏆

Landgraf I carried the valuable blood of Ladykiller xx, a Thoroughbred sire who helped refine the Holsteiner breed with athleticism, stamina, and elegance. At first, Landgraf I was reportedly overlooked because of that Thoroughbred influence, but his exceptional jumping ability soon changed opinions. The Holsteiner Verband notes that he became a cornerstone of modern sport horse breeding and produced over 60 licensed stallions plus many international show jumpers.

What made Landgraf I so special was not only his own talent, but his ability to pass it on. His offspring were known for scope, power, presence, and competitive spirit. Breeding sources describe his young stock as sometimes late-developing, but gifted with serious jumping ability that improved with maturity.

His influence spread far beyond Germany. Landgraf I’s descendants appear in pedigrees across Europe and North America, continuing to shape elite jumping lines today. Many breeders still value his blood for adding rideability, type, and performance potential to modern warmbloods. 🌍

Landgraf I also represents what makes the Holsteiner breed so respected: power, refinement, and heart. Holsteiners are strongly associated with international show jumping success, and Landgraf I helped strengthen that reputation for generations.

Even after his death in 1996, his legacy lives on. A bronze statue of Landgraf I stands in Elmshorn, a lasting tribute to a stallion who transformed breeding history.

For riders, breeders, and sport horse fans, Landgraf I is more than a famous name in a pedigree. He is a symbol of performance, legacy, and the lasting power of exceptional bloodlines. 🐎💫

We are looking to add a quality Warmblood broodmare to our breeding program.
Ideally, we are seeking an older mare that has previously competed and is now enjoying retirement from her sporting career. She will be offered the very best home, where she can spend the rest of her days doing what horses deserve most – living naturally in a herd environment with endless grazing, excellent care, and plenty of love and attention.
