We have worked HARD to make a difference to the lives of these rescues. We pitch every day .. feed them, swop wet blankets .. and beg for help for Vet bills and food.

And today, amidst the worst weather ..we uplifted them and are taking them all the way to Dr Susi at Eden Small Animal Hospital ...

We need to meet their Vet bills PLEASE.

Fosters??? Our kennels are non-functional right now 😭

We drove through really bad situations to get help for Porky, Princess and Jackie. We are in George now, waiting to see Drs Susi and Kelly at 15h00. We sponsored them some raw mince so that they can have a nap in the Suzuki until their Vet appointment.

Oudtshoorn is flooded. Our little Suzuki is having a hard time getting to outreaches but when Kango dierekliniek calls to say they have two spots open in theatre we JUMP.

Thank you Charlene Szucs and team .. they have to park and WALK!!!!

These two mommies are on our red list .. many litters .. URGENT sterilisation .. and today Koekoes and Chloe's lives change forever.

We make this miserable, cold, wet day a little brighter.

Please, we beg .. we have no time or expertise for fancy fundraisers. No 4 x 4 vehicles to make our work easier. But with your financial help ..we change the world for so many animals daily 🙏🙏🙏

Six years ago ... the sweetest moments captured ..

Patience was found next to the body of her sibling .. patiently waiting for him to come around 😭😭😭

ODIN was still involved at the Pound and nurtured her back to optimum condition. Aunty Lizzy was at the Pound EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Giving love. I mean .. check the attitude .."look everybody, I am getting sooo much love, look how lucky I am".

And nothing has changed.Lizzy still pitches everywhere giving love. Except ODIN was banned from coming to the Pound under a recent Mayor's "rule" (he is subsequently no longer Mayor and sense seems to be prevailing). Fortunately, it seems that the bizarre behaviour is now a thing of the past and the Pound dogs are allowed visits and treats and walks.

Please go support the Municipal Pound. Organise a doggy walk and pancakes day. Get involved. Like we did in the old days. Look after your community on all levels. We used to have so much fun ..education was number one on the cards .. go make a difference. There are so many "Patience" doggies waiting for their lives to change. Oudtshoorn!!! Do the right thing. Get involved.

We know Dr Susi is back at Eden Small Animal Hospital when the staff is allowed to go the extra mile. Literally. Sister Nicole came all the way to the Sanctuary to vaccinate our pups and dogs.

Eden Small Animal Hospital's mantra is service to their PATIENTS. And they are led from the top ..

Dr Susi and her team were ALWAYS available and when new ownership swung the "Corporate" way .. many people left. Eventually even Dr Susi. Our animals are our children. Family members. We trust our family Doctor. So do we our family Vet.

ODIN'S rescues are our wards. Our children. Damaged. And we need, not only the expertise, but the availability at all times for emergencies. Rescues are broken. The first port of call is our Vet. Then, and only then, can healing start. ODIN can do the leg work but our Vets are the difference between life and death.

Welcome back normality.

Thank you Drs Emelia, Kelly and Sister Nicole for looking after our pets so well during Dr Susie's absence. The Eden District is lucky to have Vets of this calibre 👸👸👸 @ ODIN 072 084 1374
