I had my first fall in Cape Town off this cheeky boy today on our routine sunday morning outride 😂🤕

We were nearly at the spot where I meet up with the girls and he got a fright at a rustle in the tree from a bird and ducked under me and obviously I was left with my bum in the sand - with Chief who turned and did two MASSIVE bucks and galloped all the way back up the hill 😂

Once I caught him and hopped back on, we had a wonderful outride (and he was very good for the rest of the way) and landed up having a nice controlled extended canter up a hill with and her boy, Cromwell 😍😍😍

We LOVE our morning outrides in the forest when we get to meet up with the girls & grey geldings from 😍❤️ Chief loves his friends and even had his first canter out the other day which I haven’t STOPPED thinking about! I’ve worked hard on his injuries and fitness following only a walking and very rare trotting schedule for the last three months, and now I feel he’s ready (as well as my confidence is finally back) 😍

Also, congratulations on your new boy - he really suits you and after the tremendous work you’ve done with him over the last few weeks, I couldn’t think of a more deserving owner of the horse with the nicest bum in Cape Town! Wishing you many happy rides! ❤️

Happy birthday to the best horse, my Chi Chi ❤️❤️ today you’re 12 and you’ve grown into the most incredible gentleman. Every moment I spend with this boy, I am in awe of how he has grown into himself and he surprises me every time I ride him. To go from a race horse in Durban (he raced for 5 whole years) to a school horse in Johannesburg and now he is living his life as a happy hack in the beautiful wilderness of Cape Town ❤️❤️❤️ I wish you a long, happy & healthy life my special boy
