Why use lawn dressing?

It adds organic matter back into your soil, improving overall health by helping your lawn grow greener and stronger.

When to apply: Ideally once a year
• Every 12–13 weeks if your soil is poor

How to apply: Spread a thin layer (about 1cm) of compost/sand mix, making sure the grass blades are still visible.

Aftercare: Water thoroughly to help nutrients soak in and prevent the dressing from drying out.

Join them for a fun-filled day for the little ones while supporting an incredible cause that works tirelessly to protect our community.
🐰🔥 VWS Kiddies Easter Fun Day! 🔥🐰

For kids aged 4–9 years

Looking for a fun, egg-stra special Easter morning for the kids? Join Volunteer Wildfire Services at Noordhoek Common for our Kiddies Easter Adventure — a morning full of laughter, games, and firefighter-themed fun!

What’s waiting for your little adventurers:

- 5 exciting activity stations where kids can earn stamps and win a special Easter tin filled with chocolate eggs 🍫🥚
- Hose Down: knock down “flames” with a real fire hose (with help from a firefighter!)
- Rakehoe Egg Rescue: dig for hidden Easter eggs
- Fire Hydrant Toss: aim and toss hoops over a real hydrant
- Fiery Egg & Spoon Obstacle Course: balance, dodge, and race through a fun course
- Kit Out Bunny Ash: dress our Easter Bunny in full firefighter gear while wearing blackout goggles!

PLUS:

- Meet a real VWS firefighter 👩‍🚒
- Climb aboard a VWS fire truck 🚒
- Say hi to Bunny Ash, our fire-fighting Easter Bunny 🐇
- Take part in our “Guess How Many Eggs” competition (R5 per guess – all proceeds go to VWS)

Come dressed as a firefighter for a chance to win a prize!

This isn’t just fun — it’s a way to connect with your community, support our volunteer firefighters, and learn a little about the important work VWS does to keep our mountains and communities safe. Every laugh, game, and egg helps our heroes stay ready for the fire season. 💛
