This cutey is Slinky, and he’s very much in need of a loving home. Please give this boy a minute of your time. He’s located in Whiteside County, IL.
We’re told that Slinky is playful, snuggly and active. He’s 1.5 years old, so still very puppylike. He’s neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on shots. According to his current owners, he loves belly rubs, kisses, playtime and…sardines (no, we don’t hear that one every day).
If you’re part of the dog rescue world, his story will sound familiar to you. Slinky’s been passed around several times in his short life, and probably had several different names.
His current owners got him from a family member who adopted him from an Iowa shelter around Christmas. We don’t know how he got to the shelter in the first place, but we do know they won’t take him back.
Slinky’s family wants to rehome him because he and their first dog are no longer getting along. There’s a baby in the house. That said, we’re told he’s done well with dogs in the past--even at the dog park.
We haven’t met Slinky, but he sounds like a bouncy, good-natured pup who could be a great companion with some structure and TLC.
