We're celebrating a little extra on this Gotcha Day. Celebrating 52 years with this precious girl and celebrating her health after the scare we had. We're so thankful and relieved to see her happy and healthy again, munching slugs and enjoying her outdoor enclosure. 52 years is amazing, and every one of them is a blessing. We love you sweet Speedles!! Happy Gotcha Day!! 🥰🐢💗

ACK!! I have nematodes!! Mommy and Daddy said that's the best news, but they don't have nematodes. They said there were much worse things it could be and if I take my medicine they'll go away. Maybe I'll get slug treats for being a good girl.

I had a terrible horrible no good very bad day today! Mommy noticed my tongue was pale and so are my eyes so she brought me to a new special doctor who loves box turtles. I never had so many crazy things done to me before but they told me it will help me get better. Everyone there said I was such a good girl and they were really nice to me, but boy am I happy to be back home!

Yay! A warm sunny day! I sat in the sun, had a drink, walked over a worm, and found my way to a cozy leaf pile where I buried myself till Mommy said it was time to come in. What did you do today?

🥳🐢Hey everyone!! It's my Gotcha Day!!😍🎉
I came to live with my mommy 𝟱𝟭 years ago! We became best friends when I lived in a box in her classroom, and then she adopted me and brought me home with her. A lot of good things happened after that. She got me a daddy and a brother person and lots of furry friends. I get to eat slugs and worms and sweet treats of berries and cantaloupe, and they built me a great outdoor pen for sunshine, swimming and hiding. This is so much better than life in a box😊
