108 Intakes so far this month ‼️
PLEASE help this small animal Rescue Tipton County Paws and Claws in West TN (just outside Memphis)
Good grief… here we go again.
We are extremely shorthanded, but we keep fighting every single day for the ones who need us. In the last 14 days alone, we’ve taken in 56 homeless pets—bringing us to 108 intakes so far this month… and we still have 6 more days to go.
And then yesterday, someone pulled into our rescue center and dumped their cats in the parking lot. Two were caught quickly, but one escaped. Our staff had to step away from their already overloaded duties to search, and after a lot of time and effort, they were finally able to catch the cat—because they are amazing.
We are surrounded by fields, busy roads full of heavy equipment, and a very territorial feral colony. If we hadn’t caught that cat, it likely wouldn’t have survived very long.
We are FULL. But someone decided not to take responsibility and instead made their cats our responsibility. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when we have a long list of people who did the right thing—who reached out, asked for help, and are doing their part while waiting for space. This person jumped ahead of all of them.
Rescue is hard enough without this happening almost every single week.
We rarely raise any money for cats, but we desperately need help getting them spayed & neutered.
