Heart and Hands Horsemanship is closing its doors.

A post I never wanted to write.

When this crazy venture began four years ago I never could have imagined what it would become. I am proud to say I had over 100 students enter the arena gates at the Haughton Ranch.

Laurie and Doug gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to hone my teaching skills and become an entrepreneur. Their generosity and support has been invaluable 💜

Working long hot summer days in the rolling hills of Knutsford with spectacular horses and a beautiful arena was so magical and truly life changing.

My teaching career has developed into a full time position in Clearwater so (for now) this chapter has come to an end.

Perhaps one day, my doors will open again, only time will tell.

Thank you to every one of my students and their families for you commitment, trust in me and the learning and joy you brought to the arena every day!

Another summer of lessons and camps has come to a close ❤️⁣

I said this last year but it feels even more real a year later... this could be it for Heart & Hands Horsemanship. I have graduated university and my teaching career is just beginning to sprout. ⁣
⁣
Growing and developing this business over the past four years has been the opportunity of a life time. I have been able to connect with so many amazing students and their families. I've proved myself to myself over and over again and created something I am so very proud of. ⁣
⁣
I am so privileged to have worked with such outstanding horses that are as much a part of the teaching process as I am. Molly, Freckles, Timone, Cali, CeeDee, Mouse, Kate, Mighty and Taylor each played such a huge roll in making this the incredible success that it was ❤️⁣
⁣
Laurie and Doug welcomed me into their family and arena with open arms and gave me the freedom to create a program that stands for what I believe in. I am incredibly proud to have partnered with them to bring more people into the horse world on the grounds of joy, education, hands on experience, husbandry, and laughter. I seriously cannot thank them enough for this opportunity!! ⁣

To my students and their families I thank you for putting your trust in me and joining me on this wild ride over the past four years! My business would not be what it is today without each and every one of you! Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions, share your future horsey adventures with me or just say hey 🐴⁣

My second most imporved rider this summer was Erin. I saw such huge growth in her development as a rider this summer. Katie kept her on her toes with unexpected stops and just a touch of attitude but this gave Erin the opportunity to shine 🌟

It's something special to reflect back on four years of riding and see studnets soar past being a passenger and become a rider!

Excellent work this summer Erin ☺️

Big shout out to this rockstar!!

Mailyn was one of my most improved riders this summer. She is all about the challenge, asking questions and always wanting to learn more. I had to throw her into the deep end one evening and put her on a new horse - she handled that like an old pro.

Mailyn also helped out at two of my kid’s camps and honestly worked harder than I did. She was on top of everything, helping kids and teaching them safety around the horses.

I was consistently impressed by her growth and maturity all summer!

This girl is going places 🤩

Kicking’ up some dust last night ☀️

The growth and confidence I’ve seen with these two this summer has been amazing!!

Something clicked for them both and they no longer rush through exercises. They have no problem stopping in the middle of an exercise to set themselves and their horse up for success.

It is something special to watch my students go from passengers to riders ❤️
