We had a good run, the human and I. It certainly lasted longer than any of her human-human relationships, but who is counting? Oh, right, she counted, and always told me (and Moose, may his annoying butt rest in peace) that dogs are definitely better than people. She isn't wrong about that. She cried a lot yesterday when we had our goodbye and I let her hold me to the very end 'cuz I'm cool like that. I dunno who will take care of her now, though. She might have to make some more human friends.
