Update on Nova: I finally got enough urine to take to the vet last week to figure out what's going on with Nova. It turns out she has crystals in her urine and a lot of blood. The vet recommends X-rays to check for stones, and she'll be on prescription food for the rest of her life. Right now, I'm just trying to keep her comfortable.

Update on Nova: they could not get a urine sample because Nova has a very small bladder. They didn’t want to keep poking and prodding around, so they are treating her for a UTI, and she has a really bad ear infection. Nova has never been sick since we rescued her. She seems to be doing okay today, but not 100 percent.

Happy 10th Birthday to our amazing Princess Nova! 🎉🎂🐱🐾💜 Having a blind cat has been a truly uplifting experience, showing us how animals can live joyful lives despite any disability. Every morning she eagerly awaits her wet food breakfast and as soon as she hears one of us grab a spoon she starts pacing back and forth meowing. We love you Nova! 😘
