Maggie has come out of retirement! She is living her best life and working and playing every day at the age of 11! She enjoys riding the elevator up to the top of the building where she works, and always struts her stuff in a new outfit to entertain her patients! Although she is a little gray around the muzzle, she is showing that 11 is the new 3, and impressing everyone with her vitality and love of life!

Happy 10th Birthday Maggie!

After a fair amount of deliberation, I have decided to retire Maggie Mae from being a Therapy Dog. Along with this, I have decided to deactivate Maggie's page. It no longer serves a purpose, especially since Maggie and I don't conduct Therapy Dog visits anymore. This decision is not a light one by any means.
It no longer feels right to parade her around and profess her certification when I don't have the time to visit with her. And the desire is gone now too. Part of me also believes that Maggie wasn't having fun on the last few visits we did. She's slowing down a lot, and just wants peace and quiet most of the time. I just want to spend time with Maggie where she and I can be buddies. We will always be an advocate for Therapy Dog activities, Rescue Groups, and all things dog related.
Feel free to say your goodbyes, or share a memory from any time you may have spent with Maggie. Also feel free to download and keep any pictures of her if you wish.

Maggie turned 5 yesterday! I got busy with a lot of things and failed to post. But happy birthday to my number 1 best friend!

Maggie is now actively seeking employment as a busboy. Payment not necessary. Patrons should be okay with staring and drooling. They should also not mind being rushed and asked constantly, "Are you going to finish that?"
Patrons with messy children get priority.
She is auditioning tonight at McAllister's in Conway. It's a slow night, but all is going well.

Maggie was a little tired this morning from her Cinco de Mayo celebration last night, so there was no post. She, Lucy, Mom, and Jonathan went to On The Border. They were out of t-shirts, but we had great service and Lucy and Mom said the wine was wonderful! Maggie said the chips were crunchy as usual and the steak fajitas were divine.

While known for being sweet and affectionate, Maggie is also a fairly well-accomplished hunter! Here she is engaging in the sport of Barn Hunt. The dog is supposed to find tubes (containing a live rat) hidden in the hay. It's really fun to watch your dog do something based on scenting instinct.
