***Important notice for FI-NANO Microchips***
We have recently been made aware that Fi-Nano microchips, which often begin with the numbers 900235, are no longer appearing in the AAHA Pet Microchip Lookup Tool even if registered (as of 4/7/2025). This means a facility may not check the Fi-Nano website to locate owner information.
We hope this is resolved soon, but for now, if your pet’s microchip starts with 900235, make sure it is registered with a different microchip company that participates in AAHA to ensure your pet can be traced if lost: https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary.../microchip-search/
Your safest options are to register with one of the five major companies:
24Petwatch
Avid
PetLink
HomeAgain
AKC Reunite
There are other reliable registries that also participate in AAHA, but these five are a great place to start.
Please double-check your pet’s registration and share this post—this could help reunite a lost pet with their family!
