Hello, Hoomanz...yeah, yeah, I've been lazy. Ya gotta understand:
it takes all my energy to keep Meowion held together, with all her health issues--complaining about health issues--and my own daily, primal desire to jump through the window and eat that Blue Jay family. (I really AM a cat of great inner strength.)

So, hi, again; it's almost Thanksgiving and thank GOD, that means More Turkey for ME. Then the whole yada-yada, Hoomanz running around like brain-damaged lemmings 'til well after Christmas.

Most Hoomanz forget that Christmas, Chanukkah and many other observances during these deep days of Winter -- are religious holidays. Many faiths celebrate God during the Wintertide months: whether you're Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Jain, Zoroastrian, Taoist, Baháʼí -- you're a seeker, and that's grand. (We animals don't have religions, 'cause, well--we're in direct contact, 24/7/365 with our Creator. I'll get to that in a bit.) :)

Observances can be fun AND worshipful: Oh, Hanukkah! Eight nights of wrapped cat toys, and feasting on huge platters of lox! I'm lickin' my chops, just thinking about it.

And Hoomanz LOVE to celebrate Christmas, but not all of them acknowledge that it's not just a party--it's a BIRTHDAY party! 🎂Christmas is Jesus' birthday--instead of pumpkin pie and fruitcake, we should celebrate Him with big, three-layer birthday cakes with thick buttercream frosting. With candles, and sparklers! 🥳

Ah, well, Hoomanz can't be forced to celebrate any religious holiday--and even if they COULD be forced--it wouldn't count. Religious observance must be sincere, Hoomanz reaching up to God, Who's reaching DOWN to them.

(We animals have always enjoyed an intimate relationship with our Creator--for we acknowledge that it is God Who feeds us, and provides our shelter. We are PART of God's creation, NOT separated from it. We want to LIVE in it, NOT dominate it.)

So! The holidays are upon us: I guess my fondest wish as a big, handsome and spiritual kittycat, is that all y'all Hoomanz will take a few moments between now and January 1st, to look UP, beyond the stars--and ponder the God Who is there, here--everywhere.

We cats, dogs, bunnies and wolves have no problem finding God--we wish you the same. Meowy Christmas, or whatever you celebrate! Peace out, man. xo 🙏💚❤️✝️☪️🕉☸️☮️🕎☯️☦️

This is Homer. I am SO sorry, Meowion is a slacker. Ahhh, like all opposable-thumb beings, she has excuses (like, sick, etc.) -- but I know that the real reason she hasn't posted on my behalf is that she's jealous. I am beautiful. She's, well, NOT. ;)

Homer's an Overcomer. He was found by a no-kill shelter volunteer on Lincoln's birthday, 2015. The poor little, orange thing was in a dumpster, trying to find food. He lived at the shelter for nine months, then God gave us to each other. Four months after he moved in, I was hospitalized for 32 days,...

Hello, Hoomanz! Long time, no me! I'm back, been a long, weird time. But I'm back to inform, educate, bless and love all y'all. Meowion and I have missed our Hooman friends.

I know, I sound like a broken record, Hoomanz...but it's FREEZING outside...and your katz and dogz should NOT be outside. (Sure, because most dogs aren't cool enough to use litter boxes--they DO have to go outside, to litter. BUT YOU Hoomanz should go WITH THEM, and being them back inside IMMEDIATELY after they...litter.)

And we katz? NO reason, whatsoever, why WE should be outside. I speak as a former feral / stray kat--NO KAT wants to be outside, and die in the cold.

KEEP YOUR PETS INSIDE,
AND if there are ferals / strays in your neighborhood:
* FEED THEM: warm their tummies with good food
* CREATE SHELTERS outside for them, using these guidelines, below:

Remember, Jesus said often, that caring for those less-fortunate is the same as caring for HIM. Do you not see feral and stray cats--your very own neighbors--FAR less-fortunate as your own pets--as living beings, worthy of care? Saint Frances of Assisi agrees with Jesus, we're sure. To walk by a feral / stray cat who's starving and freezing to death, is a sin.

I remember, yes, Hoomanz, it's a sin.

Use two 2x4s or other materials to raise it off the ground and place straw underneath. This makes it easier for the cats to warm the inside with their body heat.
