It’s “we believe” birthday months for Oliver and Flora! They were both rescued so their birthdays are only a guesstimate but we celebrate in March anyway for them. It’s so hard to believe that they are turning 7 years old which make them the elders of our crew! Oliver was believed to be under a year old when he was rescued so he’s been with us pretty much his entire life 🥹 and Flora was guesstimated by the vet to be a year old when she was rescued. When we took her in she was very sick with extreme levels of lead poisoning that took 2 years of treatment to get it to a stable “healthy” level. Unfortunately she will always have it in her system but she’s been doing so well and hasn’t had any issues since then. It brings tears to my eyes thinking that she almost didn’t make it but after all the veterinary care she is now 7 years old and healthy 🥹❤️ Wish them both a happy 7 year hatch day!

Henlo, Sparky here. I sensed that my hooman wasn’t feeling well and needed extra hugs so I’m taking really good care of her like she does with us ❤️

Daylight savings got us both like 😴😴😴 It’s 7:50pm right now but feels like it’s 9pm. Sparks and I both might be heading to sleep soon!

Sparky gets greens that I call her “salad” 2-3 times a day. Always after her breakfast and after her dinner and she expects it EVERY time and she lets me know that I’m taking too long to give it to her. Here is the look she gives me every morning before I go to work when I’m sitting having my morning coffee and she said “Uh.. mom? My salad?” 😅 Her ‘Sparky’ personality fits her name so well 🥰

Sparky, Harriet, Flora and Nectar’s 3 month Reproductive care vet visit along with Sparky and Flora’s annual overall health exams coming up in a few days (Monday). The 3 month reproductive care is going to be $1600 total and that’s not including the annual exams so we’ll probably be looking at around $1800 next week at their appointment. We know the economy is tough right now (and totally understand) but if anyone would like to pitch in for the cost of their appointment for the chickens (the human’s 40th birthday is coming up on October 3rd and that is her only birthday wish) I would be SO Grateful!

Sparkys new favorite thing to do after she realized that she can jump up on the coffee table is…. jumping up on the coffee table 😂 She does this every morning now and did twice in a row this morning. She’s such an adorable goof 🥰
